Zuji will not pay your claim if:
It’s your responsibility to give notice of your claim as soon as possible by calling Allianz Global Assistance on 1300 136 231. If you do not notify the insurer in a timely fashion, or if you fail to provide information and supporting documentation needed to process the claim, your claim could be reduced.
Allianz may request certain information to help them effectively assess and process your claim. This may include police reports, medical reports, valuations, receipts, proof of ownership and more. You may also need to provide English translations of documents for your insurer.
You’ll need to supply all the information Allianz requests and also remember to do things by the book before you make a claim and when you lodge it. For example, if your wallet is stolen, remember to report the theft to the police and get a copy of any report.
Within 30 days of returning home you must submit full details of your claim in writing. Claims are paid in Australian dollars.

Does Full comprehensive insurance cover cycle riding in Vietnam or do I need more?
Hi Rob,
Thanks for getting in touch. finder.com.au is a comparison service and Zuji Travel Insurance is not currently one of the travel insurance brands in our panel. Bicycling is one of the sporting activities automatically covered by Zuji. However, this doesn’t include bicycle motorcross (BMX) or downhill mountain biking.

Thanks for your question. While we are not Zuji, I can check this one for you.

You may find our travel insurance for cancer patients article useful.

I am looking into travel insurance for my 79 year old mother. First, am I reading it right that Zuji only covers passengers under 75? If this is not the case, I don’t understand how their quotes can be so much cheaper than other insurance companies, especially when it comes to covering the elderly. Age doesn’t seem to matter in the initial zuji quote online enquiry page? Could someone enlighten me. Thank you.
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for your question.
That is correct, Zuji only offer cover to those under the age of 75. To find out more about travel insurance for seniors, including a list of the providers in our panel and the maximum age they cover, please consult our seniors travel insurance guide.
Please make sure to read the eligibility criteria, features and details of the policy, as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statement of the policy before making a decision and consider whether the product is right for you. If necessary, speak to the insurance brand to verify any details.
I hope this was helpful,
Richard
is there a limit to how much one can claim for stolen handbag?
Hi Diane,
Thanks for your question. Yes, there is a limit for how much you can claim and it depends on the section of the policy you are claiming under. Whether you are claiming for the monetary loss of the contents of the handbag or for the bag itself. For the specifics of what is and what isn’t covered, and for how much, you should contact Zuji directly.
I hope this was helpful,
Richard
