Our Verdict

Aussietravelcover offers good benefits and has one of the most comprehensive approaches to COVID-19 we’ve seen. However, the dated website doesn’t make for a seamless experience and prices may be a little higher than you expect.

Pros

  • Over 30 pre-existing medical conditions are covered as standard and Aussietravelcover will consider covering others for an additional fee.
  • Aussietravelcover has strong benefits for COVID-19, including medical costs, additional accommodation and cancellation expenses.

Cons

  • There isn’t a lot of information about lodging a claim with Aussietravelcover, which may make the process a little tricker for some travellers.
  • We requested a number of quotes from Aussietravelcover and found policies were on the more expensive end.

Hi Marina, thanks for your inquiry!

This would depend on whether your mother’s travel insurance covers the domestic cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island in Queensland.

Would it be possible to provide us with the travel insurance policy name and travel insurance policy provider? We’d be happy to look into it for you.

    Best,

    Jonathan
