Insurance Comparison
made easy.

When things go wrong, insurance has your back.

I'm just gonna say it:

No one really wants insurance.

But while you may not want it, you definitely need it.

Why? Because life has a funny way of throwing curveballs our way.

Think about it:

💰 How would you pay your rent if you lost your job?

🏎 What if your car hit a shiny new Lamborghini?

👰 What if you missed your flight for your sister's wedding in Fiji?

💸 Without insurance, you could end up out of pocket for a lot of money.

Okay, so that was the bad news. Here's the good news:

Getting insurance to protect the people and things you love is easier than you'd think.

Even better?

You don't have to go at it alone.

Here at finder, we're on a mission to make insurance easier to understand. Whether it's helping you figure out whether you really need health insurance, if income protection is worth it or the difference between comprehensive vs CTP car insurance, we want to try and help you make sense of all those weird words in your PDS, how to get a cheaper deal, and the big traps to avoid.

We're on your side.

What makes finder different?

Family playing

We're not owned by an insurer

Unlike many other comparison services, we're independent, so we can partner with a broad range of brands.

It's 100% free (no fine print)

You won't need to enter your phone number or email to compare policies. Best of all, you'll pay the same as going directly to the brand.

More than just comparison

We have thousands of guides (including ones about brands that we don't work with!) so you can be better informed and not just blindly compare on price.

We compare brands including

Life Insurance

Not sure if you need it? Ask yourself this question: Would anyone you love be worse off financially or stuck with your debt if you were too ill to work or died tomorrow? If the answer is yes, you need life insurance. Life insurance helps protect the ones you love if you unexpectedly die or become seriously ill. It can help pay off your mortgage, take care of credit card bills or help your kids go to uni, so your family can have the same quality of life even when you can't be there to care for them.

Income Protection and Disability

Your ability to earn an income is probably the most important asset you have. If you're unable to work either temporarily or permanently, income protection can help take away the worry of how you're going to pay your bills from the equation, so you can focus on your recovery.

Travel Insurance

Bitten by the travel bug? Whether you're going on a 6-month overseas adventure or just driving around Australia, getting travel insurance is a no-brainer. It ensures that you're not out of pocket if you're hospitalised overseas, your luggage is lost or your flights are cancelled.

Health Insurance

We're lucky to have access to great (and free!) public healthcare, but unfortunately it doesn't cover everything. If you want to choose your doctor and get a private room in case you're hospitalised, or be covered for things like dental care and physiotherapy, you need health insurance. We compare 30+ health funds on finder, so it's easy to find the perfect policy for you.

Car Insurance

Whether your car is your pride and joy or you're driving around an old piece of junk, you need car insurance. First of all, you can't drive in Australia without having at least compulsory third party (CTP) insurance, but that doesn't cover your car if it's stolen or in an accident. Worse still, without comprehensive car insurance, you'll be liable for damages to another person's car if you damage it.

Home Insurance

You’ve probably sacrificed a lot to save up for a deposit and pay down your mortgage, so why would you risk losing it all? Home insurance can protect your home if Mother Nature strikes, if you have fire or storm damage, if your valuables are stolen, or if your property is vandalised.

Business Insurance

When you're a business owner, you don't have time to figure out what all the insurance jargon means. Different types of businesses need different kinds of insurance - and we make it easy to find which one you need, so you can tailor your policy to work for you.

Pet Insurance

Aussies spent a whopping $12.2 billion on their pets in 2016 - over a quarter of which was on vet bills. We love our pets, and as members of our family, we'd do anything to protect them. But if they become sick or are injured, colossal vet bills can mean that you're faced with an unthinkable choice - one that pet insurance can prevent you from having to make.
