Travel Protect Travel Insurance review

Our verdict: Aussie insurer Travel Protect covers the basics and offers a good range of policy options including for business travel and longer trips. Trip cancellations, personal liability and luggage aren’t covered automatically.

Pros

  • Get unlimited medical & hospital expenses, and 24/7 emergency help if something goes wrong on your travels.
  • Keep your policy costs in check by setting your own limits for a range of benefits.

Cons

  • Some may prefer the peace of mind of going with a more established name, such as Qantas or ahm.
  • Travel Protect's COVID Basic policy is OK but doesn't cover a lot. Its Explorer policy is far more comprehensive.
