      Hi May,

      Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, finder.com.au is a comparison website and not an insurer. Virgin Travel Insurance only cover for:
      “Single uncomplicated Pregnancy, up to and including 23 weeks, not Arising from services or treatment associated with an assisted reproduction program including but not limited to in vitro fertilisation (IVF).”

      You may find our Travel Insurance for Pregnancy page useful, as it has a wealth of information about the topic and also a list of providers form within our panel that cover travel insurance for pregnant women.

      I hope this was helpful,
      Richard

    With the sports cover option will be covered with things such as snorkeling or white water raftint

    • Staff
      William | February 17, 2014

      Hi Snowy,

      Thank you for your enquiry. According the Virgin Money Travel Insurance PDS, a benefit will not be paid if;
      “Your claim Arises because you dive underwater using an artificial breathing apparatus, unless you hold an open water diving licence issued in Australia or you were diving under licensed instruction.”

      There is no mention of if white water rafting will be covered. It would be best to speak with Virgin directly to clarify whether this activity will be covered prior to taking out cover. It may be dependent on the policy that you choose.

      Finder always recommends that anyone looking to take out travel cover take the time to read through the product disclosure statement closely and speak to the provider if necessary so that they are absolutely certain when they will and will not be covered.

      All the best with your enquiry.

      Hi Michael,
      thanks for the question.

      Unfortunately you must be a resident of Australia to be able to apply for this insurance policy. In addition, your journey must start and end in Australia.

      I hope this helps,
      Marc.
