FinderBot Terms

FinderBot is an AI Chatbot that uses generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to answer your questions. By using FinderBot, you agree to the following:

1. FinderBot may use GenAI (both our own and third parties, including from Google through its Vertex AI platform) to respond to your query by drawing on information from Finder's website (some of which may include information from third party sources).
2. You bear sole responsibility for your interactions and reliance on the information provided. It is important to exercise caution and use your discretion while interpreting and acting upon FinderBot's responses. We cannot be held liable for any actions, losses, or damages resulting from the use of FinderBot.
3. We cannot guarantee the responses generated using GenAI will be accurate and even if its answers appear correct, they may still contain material inaccuracies.
4. FinderBot is an artificial intelligence tool. It is not a financial adviser, credit adviser or credit assistance provider. FinderBot does not provide personal advice within the meaning of section 766B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and does not provide credit assistance within the meaning of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).
5. When you use FinderBot as a logged-in Finder member, FinderBot may access and discuss information from your Finder Member Profile, including your credit score and comprehensive credit report information. Any summary, insight or explanation FinderBot provides in relation to this information — including any explanation of movements in your credit score, or any observation about products, rewards or comparison history in your profile — is for general information only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.
6. You should not rely on any statement made by FinderBot in deciding whether to apply for credit, in managing your credit, or in making any other financial decision. Before acting on any information from FinderBot, you should consider whether the information is appropriate for you and, if necessary, seek advice from a licensed professional. You should also verify any statement about your credit information directly with your credit reporting body.
7. Our chatbot provides information of a general nature. If FinderBot makes assertions about a product or service, please check the relevant product or service page or document (including PDS, TMD or PHIS) linked for applicable citations and disclaimers.
8. FinderBot summarises information from your Finder Member Profile "as-is". That information may include data supplied by third parties (for example, Experian in the case of credit information, or product issuers in the case of features and pricing) and data you have provided yourself (for example, products you have added to your profile).
9. Finder does not guarantee that the information reported by FinderBot is complete, current or accurate. There may be discrepancies between what FinderBot reports and your actual position with your bank, credit provider or other third party. You should verify important information directly with the relevant provider before acting on it.
10. FinderBot's responses are generated by an artificial intelligence model and, notwithstanding our best efforts, may occasionally contain errors, omissions or outdated information. If you notice an error, please tell us at support@finder.com so we can investigate.
11. Please don't provide FinderBot with any personal, confidential or any other information that you do not have permission to share with us.
12. In certain circumstances, we may expressly request your personal information to assist with your query, such as your name, address, email and existing product details, if we collect this information we will collect this in accordance with FinderBot Privacy Collection Notice (https://www.finder.com.au/finderbot-privacy-collection-notice).
13. Please be respectful while using FinderBot and only ask it Finder-related queries.
    Finder will keep a record of your chat and any feedback that you provide to improve FinderBot's capabilities and Finder's products and services.
14. We may include links to third-party websites for you to consider further as part of our response. We have no responsibility for information contained in third party website links.
