You are required to co-operate with the insurer and inform them of your claim as soon as possible by submitting a claims form to the Client Services Department.
You’ll need to provide supporting evidence for your claim including police reports, medical reports, item valuations and proof of ownership for lost items must accompany your claim form. In addition, you are required to submit all the details of your claim in writing within 30 days of returning to Australia.
Dental, medical and hospital claims should be made with Allianz Global Assistance, while any loss or theft of personal belongings should be reported to the police so you can obtain a written notice to accompany your claim report.
Damage or loss of personal effects or luggage by an airline or accommodation provider should be reported to said party so they can provide you with a written report to be used in your claim processing.
All claims are paid in Australian dollars.
