The David Jones American Express credit card gives you double the amount of gift points during the first six months. You will get rewards points for shopping at this store, and have access to great rewards and features. You can redeem your gift points for travel bonuses and gift cards. The gift points never expire and are not capped so they will never be wasted.

The rewards program

  • David Jones credit card customers are able to earn double the gift points on purchases made at David Jones and purchases made elsewhere during the first six months. They will receive the same amount of gift points after this time period.
  • You can redeem your gift points for Qantas travel discounts or for gift cards.
  • You are eligible to receive instant rewards on a wide selection of products such as electrical goods, homewares, fashion, cosmetics and many other items. These offers are exclusive to David Jones credit card holders.

  • You can receive up to 44 days of free interest on purchases. You can also be eligible to receive five years of free interest, when special promotions offer it, on electrical items, furniture, homewares, and bedding.
  • A payment option is available for Christmas purchases made between November 1 and December 24 that allows payments to be deferred until February .
  • A guarantee is given for online fraud protection which insures that cardholders will not be found responsible if unauthorised purchases are discovered.
  • A gift card will be presented to the David Jones credit card holder for the first purchase made outside of David Jones.
  • Purchase protection is provided to customers if the purchase has been stolen or damaged. This protection is available for up to 90 days.
  • Three months of free interest given to cardholders that spend over $500 on women's or men's fashion.
  • Cardholders can keep track of statements and gift points using online banking, and emergency card replacements are sent out very quickly since American express is worldwide and has global offices.
  • Shopping event invitations are given to cardholders that use their card regularly.
