Who are Wizard?
Wizard were one of the first non-bank lenders in Australia to challenge the monopoly held by Australian banks.
On 27th of February 2009, Wizard Finance was sold to Aussie. As of the 11th of August 2014, Aussie will no longer be accepting credit card applications as their credit cards are no longer available to new customers. Learn more about Aussie's range of credit cards here.

When opening a new credit card, there are always questions you may have. Here we will take a look at some of the most common questions and answer them as best we can.
How can I do credit card activation?
Your new credit card can be activated simply by calling the phone number on the front of the credit card. Once it is activated, it is ready to use.
How do I apply?
Applying for Wizard credit cards is easy. You can either apply online or through the mail.
How long does the application process take?
If you apply online, you can be approved almost instantly. There may be times where more information is needed. In these cases, it can take 7-10 business days to receive an answer.
If you apply by mail, you may receive an answer in 10 business days.
When will I get my card?
Regardless of if you applied by mail or online, your new card will arrive in about 10 business days if you have been approved.
How do I find out where my application is?
You can always call Wizard directly to find out where your application is in the approval process.
What is the approval process?
As with all other credit card companies, Wizard does a credit check to verify your information and to see if you are eligible for the credit card. If for some reason you are declined, you will receive written notice as to why and who to contact to get more information.
Can the credit card be linked to my mortgage?
Unfortunately, no, you are not able to link the two.
How will you establish my credit limit?
Your credit limit is established based on the information you give us in your application. If you are approved, we will let you know what your credit limit is via the package your receive from us with your credit card.
What is the balance transfer rate and how long does it last?
Currently, Wizard is offering 4.99% on balance transfers for six months. Once the six months is up, any balance remaining will revert to the standard interest rate of 19.49%.
How much can I transfer?
You will have the ability to transfer any amount up to your credit limit. The minimum balance transfer is $100.
What about cash withdrawals?
You will have the ability to withdraw cash with your Wizard credit card. Depending on your credit limit, you can withdraw up to $1,000 each day at an ATM. If you go into a bank, you can withdraw up to $3,000 per day. You will want to make sure you have enough available credit before doing any sort of cash withdrawal.
How do I establish a pin?
In most cases, a PIN number is needed to get cash at an ATM with your Wizard credit card. You can also use your credit card with a PIN when making purchases. It is easy to establish your PIN by calling Wizard directly. Wizard will automatically establish a PIN for you, but if this is to difficult for you to remember, you can always establish one that is easier to remember. Never write your PIN on your credit card and keep it in a safe place where no one can get a hold of it.
What if I want to add another cardholder?
Adding an additional cardholder is easy. You can add family members or friends as additional cardholders, up to 9 people in total. Simply contact Wizard with the information for who you want added. As the primary cardholder, you will be able to look at all their transactions to keep an eye on what they are spending.
How do I make a payment?
You can make a payment online, in person at an Australian post or by cheque via at the mail. Make sure you know all the charges for each payment method as well as any late fees that will be charged if you do not make at least the minimum payment on time.Back to top
