If you're serious about earning Qantas Points, then you need the right credit card. And every month of Finder, we examine every card on the market to find
you the best Qantas points cards.

We look at annual fees, we look at earn rates, we look at bonus points offers, we look at card perks, we look at everything. So, here they are, the three best Qantas points cards on the market right now.
0:23
At number one, we've got the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card. This is an Amex card and it gives you 90,000 bonus points. But to get those points, you'll need to be a new Amex customer and you'll have to spend $3,000 in the first 3 months.

This card has a pretty high annual fee over $400. But it also comes with a yearly Qantas travel credit of the same amount. So, if you use that travel credit each year, you're effectively making the card pay for itself, which makes it a really attractive offer.
0:52
Number two, we've got the Qantas Money Titanium. Now, this card is a points earning beast. It gives you 150,000 bonus Qantas points. It's one of the market's biggest offers, and you can earn over two points for every dollar you spend. It's a really lucrative card.
1:10
It also has flight discounts, bonus status credits, lounge passes. It's a really feature rich card, but there is one big downside. The annual fee is $1,200. This is a points earning card for high rollers and serious earners. If you can afford this card, you probably don't need any financial information from me.

And last, we have the A&Z Frequent Flyer Black. This card is a popular card. It's an award winner at Finder. It regularly is in our top scoring cards. Right now it gives you a 130,000 bonus Qantas points, which is one of the top offers in the market right now.
1:46
There's only one sort of downside, which is you have to hold the card for over 12 months to get those full amount of bonus points, and that means paying the annual fee twice. The annual fee is quite high. It's above $400, but the card does have a $200 cash back offer as part of the bonus offer. So, that offsets that slightly, which makes it a pretty affordable deal with a really high number of Qantas points.

Hi, I have an existing ANZ mastercard low balance card and was wondering if I changed the credit card type to the QFF rewards whether I would be eligible for the 50,000 bonus points that are currently on offer providing I met the spending criteria.
Kind regards
Hi Dechlan,
Thanks for your question.
Unfortunately the bonus points offer is only available to new and approved applicants.
Cheers,
Shirley
I just got my newly approved anz qantas card. To receive my 50000 bonus points I must spend 1500 on eligible purchases within 3 mths. Can you define what an eligible purchase is? must i spend this on qantas products or can i spend on other purchases to qualify?
Hi James,
To be eligible for the bonus points, you need to make 1,500 worth of eligible purchases. This excludes fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers and premiums for ANZ credit card insurance.
Retail purchases, such as buying goods and services are usually considered as an eligible purchase.
Cheers,
Shirley
My business has about 20 staff with corporate credit cards and we spend about $20,000 per month. We don’t earn points. Are there any corporate cards where Qantas points can be earned either for the business use or pooled for the use of the business owner?
Hi Penoir,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, there are business credit cards on the market that allow you to earn points for your purchases.
Please see our comparison of business credit cards based on rewards, bonus points and minimum annual revenue.
Before applying, please ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria and read through the details of the needed requirements as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statements/Terms and Conditions when comparing your options before making a decision on whether it is right for you.
Cheers,
Shirley
1. Thanks Shirley but there doesn’t seem to be any field that mentions how many supplementary cards are allowed so is there any way to search or compare based on that criteria?
2. Also Amex has to be ruled out as it isn’t accepted by a lot of merchants so I couldn’t give Amex to our employees it would have to be visa or mastercard only
Hi Penoir,
Unfortunately we don’t have a specific field that states how many supplementary cardholders can be added for free. Moving forward, we will try include this into our comparisons.
Where ever possible, we do state how many additional cardholders can be included in the text of our reviews.
If that’s the case, you don’t need to include Amex into your comparison. However, some cards come with both Visa/Mastercard and Amex. It’s not a requirement that you use the Amex version, so you can keep those and allocate the Visa/Mastercard versions to your employees.
Cheers,
Shirley
Are there any business cards that (a) earn Qantas frequent flyer points, (b) allow at least 5 supplementary cards on the same account and (c) don’t have a points cap below 200,000?
Hi Penoir,
Thanks for your question.
You may refer to our list of business credit cards that allow you to earn frequent flyer points.
Most of these cards allow multiple additional cardholders at no extra cost. I’ve only looked through the first two on that list, but the AMEX Platinum Business cards lest you earn up to a threshold of 375,000, then your points earning rate will be reduced.
Cheers,
Shirley
Hi, I currently have a gold ANZ Frequent Flyer credit card and want to change to a ANZ Platinum card. By changing cards do I loose the points already awarded on the Gold card or do they get transferred to the Platinum.
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for your question.
If you have more than one ANZ Rewards account you are able to pool your Reward Points. This can be done through the official ANZ Rewards website.
Cheers,
Shirley
If I have a frequent flyer card and my husband gets a frequent flyer rewards card can they be linked so we both get the points as I’ve already got some frequent flyer points and we just like to add to them if you get me
My husband gets a Qff credit card that should say
Hi Nina,
Thanks for your question.
You can add your husband as an additional cardholder. This means you share the same account so you can earn points more quickly. However, you will be liable for his repayments if he is unable to meet this commitment.
If your husband gets a separate card, you can pool your Qantas points using the family pool feature from the Qantas program but there are more restrictions on this.
Cheers,
Shirley
What is the best card for maximising Qantas FF points?
Need to take into account that 90% of purchases will be made in Australia? Why do Amex cards incur transaction fees every time you use it.
Hi Jordan,
Thanks for your question.
Unfortunately we can not say what is the best Qantas card; this depends on your spending style and preferences.
If you make the majority of your purchases in Australia, you may want to opt for a card that awards more points for regular purchases, rather than purchases overseas. The annual fee is also something to take into account.
We’re not sure as to why AMEX facilities have a surcharge, usually this can counteracted by using your linked Mastercard or Visa card. It could be that AMEX facilities cost more to run.
Cheers,
Shirley
