Under the heading earning points there is a statement Exclusions include BPAY payments, government fees and charges, cash advances and business expenses. A lot of expenses for Rates, Insurances, just about all the bills I pay fall under BPAY. Please confirm that with these types of payments there are no QANTAS points applied with these payments at all. Thanks

Hi Tony, That’s correct – payments you only make via BPAY and government payments won’t earn points. You can learn more about ways to potentially use BPAY and earn points in our detailed guide. Hope this helps!

Hi Diane, if you choose the Qantas rewards option, you do have to pay $99. Joining Qantas Frequent Flyer itself can be done for free – check out our guide on how to do that.

Hope this helps!

Hi Carl, Usually you can use these passes for the cardholder and their guest, as long as your guest is travelling on the same flight as you.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your message and for contacting Finder.

For the HSBC Premier World Mastercard, you would need an HSBC Premier Cash Management Account.

But in general, below are the eligibility requirements in applying for an HSBC credit card:

  • You must be 18 years or older to apply for an HSBC credit card.

  • You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to apply.

  • You need to meet the minimum income requirement stipulated for the card of your choice. This is $20,000 for the HSBC Low Rate Credit Card and $40,000 for the HSBC Platinum Credit Card or HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card.

  • Your credit history and credit score must typically be very good or excellent.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Nikki
