Free calls overseas for any of OVO's unlimited plans.

With so many prepaid plans now including unlimited standard national calls as standard, even at entry level prices, differentiating one MVNO from another becomes trickier, with most opting to up data quotas as a key point of difference. Data is important, but there are other uses for a smartphone that go beyond data inclusions.

OVO Mobile's latest deal has added international calling minutes to each of its unlimited 30-day plans. On the $24.95 Medium plan you'll get 50 minutes of call time, while the $34.95 Large plan scores 300 minutes and the Extra Large plan gets 500 minutes. The deal only applies to OVO plans with unlimited standard national call provisions, so the Mini and Small plans don't pick up any bonus minutes.

The minutes can be used for calls to any of the 32 international destinations that OVO Mobile states are its most frequently dialled locations. If you want to call a destination that's not listed, you'll need to add extra credit to your plan. Here's the rundown of included countries:

OVO Mobile international destinations
Austria
Bangladesh
Cambodia
Canada
Chile
China
Croatia
France
Germany
Greece
Hong Kong
Hungary
India
Indonesia
Ireland
Italy

OVO recently sliced its international calling rates to many destinations, as well as signing up Water Polo Australia to its sports streaming portfolio and adding free streaming of Austereo radio stations to its mobile offers.
