The Pixel 10 is the perfect phone for everyday use – here’s why
![]()
Google didn't reinvent the wheel with the Pixel 10, but there are still three compelling reasons to consider it.
I've seen my fair share of 'dislike' for the Pixel 10, and while everyone's entitled to their opinion, there's something refreshing about having a solid phone without obsessing over the spec sheet.
Before I dive into explaining why it's a phone worth considering, here's a quick disclaimer.
It's not vastly different to the Pixel 9, so I wouldn't recommend an upgrade unless you're getting a really good deal.
Even if you're upgrading from a much older model, I don't think paying full price is ever worth it. The Pixel 10 starts at $1,349, but at the time of writing, you can pick it up for $899 directly from the Google Store.
1. The Pixel 10 design is still a winner
I was fairly obsessed with the new look of the Pixel series last year, and I continue to be a fan.
The modern, sculpted camera bar gives it a fresh feel, but it's still the iconic Pixel element we've come to love over the years.
The polished glass back is complemented by a satin metal finish on the camera and frame.
It's lovely to look at, comfortable in the hand, and available in Indigo, Frost, Lemongrass, and Obsidian.
I reviewed the Pixel 10 in Frost, and it genuinely made me happy every time I used it.
The one key difference between the design of the Pixel 9 is the inclusion of magnets inside the phone for the Pixel Snap feature. It's a magnetic charging system that lets you snap your phone onto chargers, stands and other accessories.
It has a lovely, vibrant display

Alongside the design, the 6.3-inch OLED display is exactly what you'd want for everyday use.
It's bright and vibrant, and I didn't have issues using it in sunny conditions either.
The one tiny pain point I have is the slightly thicker bezels.
I don't want to be that person, but after testing out a slew of flagship phones across the second half of 2025 in fairly quick succession, you end up noticing the bezels.
In fact, I tested the Pixel 10 Pro right before this, so the difference was fairly noticeable.
2. Pixel 10's camera takes fantastic photos
There has been some chatter that the Pixel 10 can look different in the final shot compared to the preview. But if the end result is more true to life, that's a good thing, right? That's exactly what I've noticed.
I've been reviewing Pixel phones for the past few years, and one thing I've consistently agreed on is that the camera quality really is as good as everyone says.
I'll go even as far as to say you won't notice much of a difference between it and its older Pro sibling for everyday photography.

Performance and battery life can keep up
I won't sugarcoat it - the Pixel 10 does have performance limits for intensive tasks like gaming or heavy multitasking.
For me, though, that wasn't an issue. I mostly use my phone for social media, streaming shows or movies, capturing content, and basic tasks like browsing, calls, texts and navigation.
I didn't notice any slowness or glitches.
With that in mind, the Pixel 10's battery easily lasted a full day, with some juice left overnight, around 15-20%.
I'll sign off at that last point. If the Pixel 10 is calling your name, just make sure you're getting a good deal.
