I qualify for the Platinum Credit Card for the Bank of Queensland. How long is the processing time if I apply personally to get approved? Once approved, can I use it immediately? Thank you very much.

      Hi Joy_j,

      Thanks for your inquiry!

It generally takes about two weeks from application to receiving your card. Once you submit your application for a Bank of Queensland credit card, you will be contacted on the email you provided to confirm that your application has been received. You can check on the status of your Bank of Queensland credit card application at any time on the BOQ website. Enter the 17 digit application reference number provided to you by BOQ to see how your credit card application is progressing. Generally a card can be used upon activating it by contacting the lender/ bank once the card has been received.

      I hope this helps!

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

      Hi, Ron.

      Thanks for your question.

Banks will occasionally send out offers to existing customers. If you’re unsure about whether the card was intended for you, please contact the lender directly.

Is there a cancellation fee to cancel a credit card and if so when is it applicable, for example after 12 months, before 12 months? I do not intend to use the credit card but have been advised that to hire a vehicle overseas I need to have one.

      Hi, Mary.

      Thanks for your question.

There is no fee for cancelling a credit card. You can cancel a credit card at any time provided that you’ve paid the balance in full.

      I hope this helps.
