You can apply for the BOQ Blue Visa credit card online, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria and have the necessary information to complete the application.

Eligibility criteria

Income. You must earn at least $25,000 to apply for this card.
Residency. This card is available to Australian permanent residents and citizens.

Credit score. You'll need a good credit history to apply.
Age. You must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Required documents

Personal details. Including your full name, contact details, residential address, marital status and number of financial dependents.
Proof of identification. You'll need to include your driver's licence number.
Employment. Confirm your current place of employment and provide your employer's contact details.

Card benefits

50,000 bonus points. Receive 50,000 bonus Q Rewards points when you apply and spend $3,500 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months from card approval. The bonus points will be added to your Q Rewards account within 60 days of meeting the spend requirement.
Q Rewards program. You'll earn 1 reward point per $1 spent on eligible purchases. Your points don't expire as long as your account is active and you can redeem your points for flights, hotels, car rental, gift cards and merchandise ranging from homewares and electronics to jewellery to from the Q Rewards website.

Purchase protection. You'll receive complimentary purchase protection insurance for eligible personal items bought with the card are lost, stolen or damaged within 90 days of purchase.
Mobile wallets. You can link your BOQ credit card with Samsung Pay, Google Pay and Apple Pay to make contactless payments using your eligible device upon checkout.

Rates & fees

Annual fee. This card charges a $89 annual fee.
Purchase interest rate. Your purchases will attract interest at the 20.99% p.a. interest rate if you do not pay your statement balance in full.

Interest-free days. You can save with up to 44 interest-free days on purchases when you pay your balance in full by the statement due date.
Cash advances. If you use your card to make a cash advance, like an ATM withdrawal, you'll be charged the 21.99% p.a. interest rate. If you make a cash advance in Australia, you'll pay a cash advance fee of 3.5% of transaction amount or $3.50 (whichever is greater). International cash advances attract a fee of 2% of transaction amount or $4 (whichever is greater, capped at $30).
International transactions. If you use your card to shop overseas or online with an overseas merchant and spend in a foreign currency, you'll be charged a 3.4% international transaction fee.
Additional cardholders. You can request an additional cardholder for the account for $15.
