Do you currently cover delay and or cancellation related expenses in bali and lombok if volcano erupts? We travel there on january 21
Hi Lana,
Thanks for your inquiry.
For Tick Travel Insurance, when an emergency forces you to cancel your trip before you go away or cut it short while you’re overseas, Tick Travel Insurance policies can cover the money you will lose as a result. Journey resumption cover can also allow you to resume your trip at a later date.
You may contact Tick Travel insurance directly to further inquire if it will also be cover your Bali trip.
At the moment, the Mount Agung volcano in Bali has begun erupting, and cover restrictions regarding the elevated threat posed by the eruption are starting to trickle in. You may get more information from our guide on Bali Travel Insurance.
Best regards,
Rench
Is cover available for motor cycle hire and use ? In Phuket.
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Tick Travel Insurance provides rental vehicle excess waiver on their standard and top cover. According to our review, basic travel insurance policies cover medical and property loss but exclude risky activities such as adventure sports. If you’re undertaking motorcycle or moped riding in Thailand, you may like to consider adding an extra cover to your policy such as car hire excess and motorcycle travel insurance. Check out our guide on Travel insurance for Thailand for more details.
I hope this information has helped.
Cheers,
Harold
when i take out a top policy cover am i covered for dying overseas such as heart attack or getting sick and dying .i will be declaring high blood pressure and the medication i take Will this be covered
Hello Karen,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query.
It is understandable to want clarification on what you will actually be covered for with your travel insurance policy.
Most insurance providers would include cover for hypertension. You may compare your options with our list of travel insurance for high blood pressure. Depending on the provider, you may have to meet one or more of these conditions:
* You were not hospitalised in the last 24 months
* Your hypertension must be stable and managed by your doctor
* You are not taking more than two medications for the condition
* You must have no known heart or cardiovascular conditions
* You must have not had any changes to your medication within the past 12 months
* You have not been a smoker in the last 18 months
* You must not be suffering any symptoms of, or be undergoing investigations into, your high blood pressure
* You must not also suffer from diabetes
* Your current blood pressure reading must be within acceptable ranges
Ultimately, it will still be best if you get in touch with the insurer you have in mind to gain assurance and clarification on this. Also, make sure to review the relevant Product Disclosure Statements/Terms and Conditions before purchasing.
Hope this helped.
Cheers,
Gru
My question is in regard to my 2 grandchildren who are travelling with us on a cruise for 3 days. We received insurance ourselves free through the company that the holiday was booked through but in their case it does not cover them. I have used Tick before as you could probably see from our records and wonder if you can assist us in this regard. They are 4 and 7 year olds and we leave on Friday 28th April and return early Monday morning 3 nights in total. The ship does not go into port it is at sea for the duration of the trip. Look forward to your comments and your assistance.
Hi Mary,
Thank you for your question.
You have contacted finder.com.au, a comparison and information service and not actually Tick Travel insurance.
If you would like to compare policies from Tick Travel Insurance and the rest of the brands in our panel, please enter your travel details into the comparison tool on the travel insurance home page.
Have safe and enjoyable trip!
All the best,
