Before you get started, make sure you meet the application requirements for the card and have all the relevant documents and details handy. This varies between the cards but generally includes the following:
- Age. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a credit card.

How do I transfer my card debt to a Woolworths card with a balance transfer?
You can elect to transfer your non-Woolworths credit card or store card debt to a Woolworths credit card when you apply for the account online.
Please remember the following before requesting a balance transfer with Woolworths:
- Balance transfers are accepted from other credit cards or store cards only
- You can transfer from up to two other credit cards or store cards
- The minimum amount you can transfer is $500 and the maximum amount is up to $500 under your credit limit. So, if you had a credit limit of $5,000, you could transfer up to $4,500.
If you're approved for the account, the balance transfer will be automatically processed by Woolworths once you receive and activate the card.
For existing customers:
- Existing Woolworths account holders that want to transfer a balance from another credit card or store card will need to complete and send in a balance transfer request form. You can download this from the Woolworths website.
- If your balance transfer to a Woolworths credit card is accepted, it can take up to 14 business days before the funds clear and you can see the balance in your account.
When do I get my first credit card statement?
Your statement is issued within five weeks of the first transaction you make on your Woolworths credit card. If you have requested a balance transfer, it counts as a transaction and is processed as soon as you activate your Woolworths credit card.
How do I get interest-free days on purchases?
If you pay your total outstanding balance in full by the due date each month, you'll receive up to 55 interest-free days.
How do I make a repayment to my Woolworths credit card?
You can make a repayment to your Woolworths credit card in the following ways.
- BPAY. If you're paying your Woolworths credit card from another institution's online banking facility, log in to your Internet banking and select BPAY from the payments and transfers menu. You will need to enter the BPAY Biller Code 017574 and your Customer Reference Number, which is your account number. BPAY payments can take up to two business days to process.
- Direct debit. You can set up a direct debit payment from your everyday transaction or savings account with another bank. You can set up a direct debit to pay just the minimum repayment due on your account, a fixed amount or the entire balance of your credit card.
- In person. You can also pay your credit card at a Woolworths supermarket with cash or a debit card. All you need to do is show your Woolworths credit card to a representative.
- By mail. Send a cheque to DEFT Payment Systems, GPO 4690 Sydney NSW 2001. Cheques must be made payable to Card Services and include your 16 digit credit card number. Allow up to five business days for the cheque to be processed. You may also have to account for the time it takes for the cheque to be delivered in the post.
Can I use my Everyday Credit Card at any ATM?
Yes. You can use your card to withdraw cash at any ATM worldwide that carries the Mastercard or PLUS logos. Cash withdrawals from ATMs are charged interest at the cash advance interest rate and will be charged from the withdrawal date.
What happens if my credit card is about to expire?
Two weeks before your old card is about to expire a new card will be sent out to you in the mail. If, for whatever reason, you don’t get your card, you need to call Woolworths Customer Service on 1300 10 1234.
