Finder makes money from featured partners, but editorial opinions are our own.
Finder is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
We update our data regularly, but information can change between updates. Confirm details with the provider you're interested in before making a decision.

How can I view the transactions on my visa credit card? I need to keep an eye on my spending.
Hi Errol.
Thanks for your question.
You can view your account balance and transaction history through your Bank of Queensland online banking facility. Once you receive your card, you will need to register your account for online / internet banking. This can be done by calling the Bank of Queensland customer service centre.
I hope this helps.
Can you link Bank of Qld credit cards to velocity points?
Hi Jill,
Thanks for your question.
We do not compare any Bank of Queensland credit cards that reward your spending with Velocity Points. The Bank of Queensland has one rewards option, which rewards you with Q Rewards, which you can then use to redeem on a number of airlines – including Virgin. You can compare a range of credit cards that reward your spending with Velocity Points.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jacob
We are having trouble with the fax number we were given by BOQ which is 88250731 regarding the Rewards. Have we mixed up any of the numbers because it keeps coming back rejected. Thank you
Hi Jill,
Thanks for your comment. For Bank of Queensland you may need to add the 07 area code to the phone number if you aren’t faxing from inside Queensland.
If that doesn’t help, please try contacting them directly.
Cheers
Matt
Dear CCF
Does the BOQ Blue Q Rewards Visa card have a monthly point limit?
Does electronic payment of bills through BPAY contribute to the accumulation of points?
Can the rewards be redeemed as cheaper flights with Virgin?
Hi Paul. Thanks for your question.
1) According to the small print, ‘Reward points are capped per annum – 65,000 for Blue Visa cards and 240,000 for Platinum Visa cards’
2) The terms and conditions state that an eligible transaction, ‘Eligible Transaction means any Retail Purchase which is made by the use of a Card or any other means authorised by us, excluding (but not limited to) transactions by way of Cash Advance, Special Promotions, fees, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, interest charges, government charges, insurance charges, payments to loan accounts (mortgage etc), transactions made in operating a business and all other transactions if the Account is more than $10,000 in credit.’ It does not make mention of BPAY transactions; however, in our experience it will depend on the merchant. If they are set up to accept BPAY, the transaction will be treated as a purchase and you will earn points. If they are not set up to accept BPAY transactions it will be treated as a cash advance and you won’t earn points.
3) Once you have earned a enough rewards, you can redeem your rewards for flights through ‘Take Flight’. This is a travel booking service which allows you to redeem your points for travel and is managed online.
Hope this has helped. Let us know if you need more information. Jacob.
