Virgin Mobile Contract Phone Plans

Information verified correct on December 12th, 2016

Everything you need to know about Virgin Mobile's contract plans.

Virgin Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus, using the Optus 4G and 3G networks with a focus on the budget/value sector of the market. Read our detailed explanation of the difference between 3G and 4G.

What extra features does this plan offer?

Pros

  • Data rollover.Virgin's postpaid contract plans all offer data rollover, so any unused data from your quota is rollled over into the next month's quota.
  • Call credit can be used for international calls and texts. You're not limited to only using the supplied call credit for calls within Australia.

Cons

  • Data rolled over is used after your quota. You can only roll over data month by month, so if you don't use it, it's gone. What's hard here is that it's only used up once your primary data for that month is also exhausted, which means you can never string along a large backup data allowance.

Who this plan would suit

If you're a mid-range user of phone services who's unsure as to their total data usage month by month for whatever reason, Virgin's Postpaid plans could be a solid fit.
