The insurance is issued and underwritten by Europ Assistance Australia Pty Ltd and comes with a cooling-off period and a $200 standard excess.
The cooling-off period is 14 days and allows you to cancel your policy within this period for a full refund if you decide it is no longer suitable. The excess is the amount you're required to pay when you make a claim. With Tick travel insurance, you can choose to remove the excess and pay an additional premium or double it to reduce your premium.

Do your policies cover medical evacuations on cruises?

If you select Tick Insurance’s Domestic Cruise, Pacific and Domestic or the Asia and Domestic travel destination, they will cover medical and evacuation expenses. They will cover the repatriation or evacuation expenses if the medical practitioner has stated in writing that you are unfit to
continue your trip due to medical illness or injury.
