The insurance is issued and underwritten by Europ Assistance Australia Pty Ltd and comes with a cooling-off period and a $200 standard excess.
The cooling-off period is 14 days and allows you to cancel your policy within this period for a full refund if you decide it is no longer suitable. The excess is the amount you're required to pay when you make a claim. With Tick travel insurance, you can choose to remove the excess and pay an additional premium or double it to reduce your premium.

I purchased tick insurance 5/7/2019 for travel Oct/Nov 14 day cruise am I covered from this date until trip end

I have Tick Travel insurance for my trip to North America, Central America and Hong Kong. I have gone to a travel specialist doctor for advice and prescription medicine associated with this trip. Can I claim any of this back on travel insurance?

Most standard travel insurance policies do not cover loss or theft of prescription drugs. If you’ll be taking regular medication during your trip, you generally won’t be able to find cover for them as the drugs are for a pre-existing condition. However, if you are hospitalised overseas and are prescribed medication for a new ailment, you may be able to make a claim under the overseas medical section of your policy.

Do you cover natural disaster such as volcanoes. I understand that some insurers do not cover active volcanoes but what about the non active ones?

As with other natural disasters, volcanoes are typically included in natural disaster cover but you need to purchase the policy before the eruption becomes a “known event.” Experts can detect tremors months before a volcano actually erupts and many insurers will consider it a known event at the first possible detection. Cruise to South pacific Islands is not accepted. What to do ?
‘Where are you travelling to” Needs to add: Cruise and South Pacific Islands”. or else the quote is void. I have been trying in vain to put ‘cruise to South pacific Inlands “but it is not accepted. What to do ??
