South West Slopes Credit Union began operations in 1972, representing employees of the South West Slopes County Council as well as employees of the Boorowa, Burrangong, Demondrille, Murrumburrah and Young Shire Councils. This credit union, with its head office and a branch in Young, also has branches in Temora, Cootamundra, and West Wyalong, along with agencies in Harden and Boorowa.
