The options available depend on the type of spending or balance and are subject to eligibility.

PlanDescription
Statement instalmentsConvert retail purchases from your closing balance into a structured payment plan, with a minimum of $500 and monthly instalment repayments.
Transaction instalmentsConvert new shopping to a payment plan before it shows up on your statement. You can do this with any eligible purchase over $50.
Cash instalmentsAccess a minimum of $500 and up to 90% of your available credit limit as cash for bills, study or anything else you need and pay it off in instalments. This option is similar to a small personal loan, but make sure you check the rates and fees so you know how much it will cost before you get it.

You can check if you're eligible for an instalment plan by calling Coles Mastercard on 1300 066 985. Once a plan is set up, you'll see details on your credit card statement. Learn more about using instalment plans on a credit card to see if they'll work for you.

Hi Rajwinder. If you’re interested in applying for one of the cards listed on our site, please click enquire now / apply to be directed to a secure online application. You can read what you’ll need to apply on the card’s review page. Coles do have a product that rewards customer spending with flybuys points. All eligible purchases will earn points – these includes things like your general everyday spending but doesn’t include things like cash advances. I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any more questions. Jacob.

My husband already owns a Coles MasterCard, can I get added on the same card or do I need to apply for my own

Hi Vera. You can become a supplementary cardholder by filling out the additional cardholder request form and faxing it in to the lender – you can find this document online. Additional cards have a unique number and your name on the front. The credit limit is shared between the primary and additional cardholder. Thanks for your question. Jacob.

What’s the deal with the ‘new’ credit card mentioned on Today Tonight on 4th June. I already have a ‘no annual fee’ Coles Platinum MasterCard and only get fly-buys points at Coles and Coles partner stores. Do I need to apply for a new ‘no annual fee’ card to get points on all purchases?

      JacobJune 5, 2013Finder

Hi Richard. Thanks for your question. If you’re an existing holder of the Coles MasterCard (no annual fee + flybuys points at flybuys bonus partners), this new card does not replace your old card. The new No Annual Fee MasterCard allows cardholders to earn points where every they spend, but to be eligible for this offer, you will need to apply for this card. Jacob.

Hi Hendry. Thanks for your question. It depends on how long you plan to stay for and why you’re here. Some non-permanent residents who have a 457 Visa can apply for some cards. This card is available to temporary residents, conditions will apply though. Jacob.

    Good Morning,

I was just wondering if I am able to be accepted for a Coles Credit Card if I have a default on my phone bill? I am scared to apply as I know this can affect my credit rating. My phone is almost paid off.
Any advice would be wonderful thanks in advance!

      Hi Nicole,

      Thanks for your question.

If you are worried about your credit file, you may refer to our guide about credit files. This will let you see exactly what the lender can see when you apply for credit. If you have had a credit misadventure in the past, it is advised that you speak to a lender in person. Generally, credit card applications that happen face to face are a little more flexible than the online counterpart. Before applying, please ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria and read through the details of the needed requirements as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statements/Terms and Conditions when comparing your options before making a decision on whether it is right for you.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Jacob
