Cons

  • It will cost you extra to pay your premium monthly or fortnightly, rather than one annual lump sum. Other insurers let you pay monthly at no extra cost.
  • If you want to cancel your policy early, it’ll cost you $40. Other insurers don’t charge a fee for this.

    What additional cover options are available?

    • Choice of repairer: You may choose to nominate your preferred repairer, which may be a repairer from the Coles Insurance repairer network.
    • Reduced window glass excess: Pay a reduced excess for accidental damage to the front, rear or side windows. This is comparatively average, as other providers offer a no excess windscreen repair, not just a reduced excess.
    • Hire car after an at fault accident: Coles Insurance will arrange and pay the cost of a hire car for up to 14 days.

      Under Coles Comprehensive car insurance, is there a limit to how often an unlisted non household member may drive my car?

      I have been told no more than twice in one week, but there is nothing about this in the PDS. What does twice a week mean? What if my daughter in law borrowed it for a weekend?

      Coles Comprehensive Car Insurance Claims

      Have heard that it is difficult to lodge a claim when an accident occurs. Takes a long time for all work and claims to be resolved.
