Hi George. Thanks for your question. You can do this; however, you will have to wait for the first couple of statement periods to pass. Please contact a HSBC customer service representative for further information. Jacob.

Hi Peter. There are no hidden fees. When you carry out a balance transfer, the only fees you will pay are the cards annual fee and the balance transfer rate of interest. You will need to pay the minimum monthly repayment, which is 3% of the total balance. Currently, there is no balance transfer fee. Thanks.

Do you offer credit cards to people with a discharged bankruptcy? I was discharged in 2010 and am looking to repair my credit rating.

      Hello Kelly,

      Thanks for the question.

There are many organisations that offer credit cards to those with a discharged bankruptcy. These options can include secured credit cards, which are more accessible than regular credit cards but come with certain conditions. You may want to check our credit repair guide as it shows some possible ways of repairing credit ratings and the different options that may be available.

Aside from the guide I gave, you can also read our page about repairing credit after a bankruptcy. It explains other tips which may help fix a bad credit file after bankruptcy.

      I hope this helps,
      Marc
