Credit card instalment plans

Coles credit cards offer three types of instalment plans, which give you a way to pay off your credit card balance over a set period of time, with fixed monthly repayments that can make it easier to budget. The options available depend on the type of spending or balance and are subject to eligibility.

PlanDescription
Statement instalmentsConvert retail purchases from your closing balance into a structured payment plan, with a minimum of $500 and monthly instalment repayments.
Transaction instalmentsConvert new shopping to a payment plan before it shows up on your statement. You can do this with any eligible purchase over $50.
Cash instalmentsAccess a minimum of $500 and up to 90% of your available credit limit as cash for bills, study or anything else you need and pay it off in instalments. This option is similar to a small personal loan, but make sure you check the rates and fees so you know how much it will cost before you get it.

You can check if you're eligible for an instalment plan by calling Coles Mastercard on 1300 066 985. Once a plan is set up, you'll see details on your credit card statement. Learn more about using instalment plans on a credit card to see if they'll work for you.

Noticed that Coles has offer of 100 dollars off shop when approved credit card. When does this offer start and does it apply to no fee card?

      Hi George,

      Thanks for your inquiry!

While the Coles credit card $100 offer has ended, you can compare different cashback credit cards from statement credits, gift cards or vouchers.

You can select the “Go to site” button of your preferred credit card to proceed with your application. You can also contact the provider if you have specific inquiries. A gentle reminder, please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions to ensure that you got everything covered before you apply.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan

I wish to take advantage of the 15 months interest free on purchases. I have just been accepted for the Coles MasterCard. Do I just swipe my card at the retailer or are there steps I need to follow to get the interest free?

Hi I posted a question recently re overseas transfer fees and was responded to by Jonathon. Can’t see my question there today but it was there yesterday. Anyway, I was told there would be no fees. However when checking my statement I find there is a cross border assessment fee of $40.08 plus an international transfer fee of $60.11. Why the charges? This a lot of additional cost!

      Jonathan's headshotFinder
      JonathanOctober 7, 2015Finder

      Hi Lynne,

      Thanks for your response.

To clarify, the previous reply to your comment stated that international transfers would attract a cash advance rate of 19.99% p.a. with a cash advance fee of 3% of the cash advance/cash equivalent transaction or $1.95, whichever is greater. The Coles Rewards MasterCard has a 0% Foreign Currency Conversion Fee.

In terms of the cross border assessment fee and international transfer, charges can vary depending on the merchant you are transacting with and can scope outside of the regular charges from Coles MasterCard. In these cases it is best to contact the merchant/store/service you are transacting with.

Please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions to ensure that you got everything covered on your transactions.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan
