The Beyond Bank Low Rate Visa Credit Card has a 11.99% p.a. interest rate for purchases and cash advances. This is competitive with other low rate credit cards and much lower than the average standard credit card interest rate in Australia, which is around 20%. It also has a relatively low annual fee and other simple features.

  • Certified B Corp

Beyond Bank is one of the few banks in Australia to have B Corp certification. This independent certification is managed by B Labs and shows that the bank meets high, verified standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

  • Balance transfers

If you want to pay off an existing card with another bank, the Beyond Bank Low Rate Visa Credit Card currently offers 0% p.a. interest on balance transfers for the first 12 months. To get this interest-free period, you'll need to apply for the balance transfer within one month of receiving your card.

  • Interest free days on purchases

Beyond Bank's credit card offers up to 62 interest free days on retail purchases. In comparison, most other cards offer up to 44 or 55 days interest-free. Keep in mind you'll need to pay the total amount listed on each statement to make use of interest free days.

  • Mobile wallets

You can link your Beyond Bank credit card with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay to make payments straight from you mobile phone or device.

  • Account management features

Beyond Bank offers internet, mobile and phone banking, including its own app. It also offers an AutoPay facility if you want to set up automatic, monthly repayments for the minimum amount or the total owed on your credit card.

  • Security

Beyond Bank has a simple, secure online application for credit cards. Before you apply, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria and have all the documents and details you'll need to complete the application.

  • Age. You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Australian residency status. You must be a permanent resident of Australia or an Australian citizen.

Documents and details

  • Personal information. This includes your full name, date of birth, residential addresses, email address and mobile phone number. You'll also need a valid form of ID, such as your driver's licence or Australian passport.
  • Income and employment details. You'll be asked about your current work status, your employer's name and contact details and how much you earn. You may also be asked to provide recent payslips, bank statements or other supporting documents related to your income.
