Coles credit cards offer three types of instalment plans, which give you a way to pay off your credit card balance over a set period of time, with fixed monthly repayments that can make it easier to budget. The options available depend on the type of spending or balance and are subject to eligibility.

PlanDescription
Statement instalmentsConvert retail purchases from your closing balance into a structured payment plan, with a minimum of $500 and monthly instalment repayments.
Transaction instalmentsConvert new shopping to a payment plan before it shows up on your statement. You can do this with any eligible purchase over $50.
Cash instalmentsAccess a minimum of $500 and up to 90% of your available credit limit as cash for bills, study or anything else you need and pay it off in instalments. This option is similar to a small personal loan, but make sure you check the rates and fees so you know how much it will cost before you get it.

You can check if you're eligible for an instalment plan by calling Coles Mastercard on 1300 066 985. Once a plan is set up, you'll see details on your credit card statement. Learn more about using instalment plans on a credit card to see if they'll work for you.

    Hi,

How does the Merchandise protection Insurance work? Does it cover lost item in oversea? e.g. I used the credit card to buy a laptop inside Australia but lost it while I travel to U.S.

I travel a lot so having the protection covers lost in oversea is important to me.

    Regards,

      Hi Samon,

      Thanks for your question.

The Product Disclosure Statement doesn’t exclude the item being lost or stolen overseas so it should be covered.

      I hope this has helped.

      Thanks,

      Elizabeth

      Hi Siva,

      Thanks for your question.

A balance transfer involves applying for a new credit card and bringing an existing balance over to that new card. Balance transfer credit cards offer 0% p.a. for a certain amount of time on balances transferred from other credit cards, so you would be able to apply for a card from another bank or card issuer and bring over the balance on your Coles credit card.

You can check the steps to balance transfer with credit cards.

      I hope this has helped.

      Thanks,

      Elizabeth
