I receive a disability support pension and a Carers pension the thing is I had a car which she was involved in an accident which someone rammed into the back of me. The car is a total lost to me and I need to replace that car with a second hand car. My bank hasn’t got back to me about my personal loan yet. But I am looking at applying for a coles credit card of up to $3,000 to $4,000. and I willing to pay it back over 3 to 4 year period on a fortnightly payments. Can I be able to get it or not?

Hi Richard, thanks for your inquiry!

Coles generally requires a minimum income after tax income of at least $15,000 p.a. If you meet this requirement are 18 years or older and are an Australian resident or intend to stay in Australia for the next 12 months with visa permission then you will be eligible to apply. Please note that since finder.com.au is a comparison service and not Coles it would be best to contact them directly to inquire further about your approval for this credit card.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

    Hi,
I want to apply for Coles credit card. However, I have no job and I only have regular foreign income and I receive interest from my 2 saving accounts. I guess if I write that I am unemployed and I have foreign income, my application would be rejected. So, I would like to know if I write in my application that I work and write my foreign income and interest in the income space from my job, will you check if I really work here or you only check my income. It might worth to tell you that I have had my flybuys card for 4 years and I have been a very good shopper from coles!
It might be a silly question, but I really want to know how a person like me with very good income can have a credit card.
    Thank you.
    Roz

      Hi Roz,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

If your employment status is other than employed e.g. self-employed, seasonal, contractor, part-time or other, and are earning other forms of income then you can fill these details in on the application form. The minimum earning requirements are available on our Coles credit card review pages. Please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions to ensure that you got everything covered before you apply.

      Cheers,

If I pay for a holiday with a Cole credit card will my holiday be insured?

      Hi Debs,

      Thanks for your question.

The Coles MasterCard credit cards do not provide complimentary travel insurance. However, you will be provided with Merchandise Protection Insurance, which protects the items you buy with your card in case they are lost, stolen, or damaged. You may also compare credit cards that include complimentary insurance. Please make sure to read the eligibility criteria, features, and details of the policy, as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statement of the policy before making a decision and consider whether the product is right for you. If necessary, speak to the insurance brand to verify any details.

I hope this answers your question.

      Thanks,
      Jonathan

Hi, I have never had a credit card before but now I’m considering to make one to build up credit score to prepare for buying a house in the near future. In my case which credit card do you recommend? I normally shop at Coles store and I’m pretty good at paying a bill on due date.

      Hi Mia,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

The type of credit card will vary depending on your individual needs and spending requirements. You may like to refer to low-interest rate credit cards which provide flexibility and convenience to spend and make purchases on your card whilst taking advantage of low-interest repayments.

Before applying, please ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria and read through the details of the needed requirements as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statements/Terms and Conditions when comparing your options before making a decision on whether it is right for you.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan
