ANZ complimentary credit card travel insurance is generally available to eligible cardholders aged under 81 years of age at the time of activation. Those aged 81 or older are typically not eligible for the standard complimentary coverage provided with ANZ credit cards.

Is the accommodation fee for an Airbnb which must be paid upfront covered by ANZ card insurance?
Hi Ian, the cancellation cover should extend to Airbnb fees if you have to cancel a trip for an eligible reason, subject to the claim being approved and the overall limits ($3,000 for domestic travel and $20,000 for overseas travel). If it’s a particularly important consideration for you, it would be worth confirming this directly with ANZ – you can contact the bank on 13 13 14.
I have and ANZ Platinum Card and would like to know the cover includes rental cars

Generally, cover is provided towards the excess of insurance you have taken out to cover the hire car, which comes standard with most rental cars in Australia. For instance, if you hire a car and the excess is $3,000, this complimentary insurance will cover that $3,000. However if you hire a car with no insurance whatsoever, then this insurance won’t provide any cover.
According to the PDS:
Cover is only available if your rental vehicle agreement specifies an amount that is payable in the event the rental vehicle is damaged or stolen while in your custody. This section does not cover items such as, but not limited to, tyres and/or windscreens, roof and underbody if they are not covered by the indemnity provided by the rental company or agency under the rental vehicle agreement to which the amount payable applies.
WHAT WE COVER
If, during the period of cover available, a rental vehicle you have rented from a rental company or agency is:
involved in a motor vehicle accident while you are driving it; or
damaged or stolen while in your custody,
then we will pay you the lesser of:
property damage for which you are liable; or
the amount specified that you must pay under your rental vehicle agreement; or
the limit shown in Part C – Benefit Limits.

It looks like cruises are covered. Page 14 of the ANZ PDS defines overseas as “outside of Australia and its territories, and includes when you are aboard a foreign registered cruise vessel in Australian territorial waters”.

We are going on a 35 day cruise going around Australia with many stops in Australia and also one stop in Denpasar Indonesia and 3 stop around New Zealand. The Cruise starts in Sydney and finish in Sydney. I’m using my ANZ Platinum card, are we covered?
