Our verdict

Offers 75,000 bonus Qantas Points and $100 back, with a $295 annual fee.

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum gives you a way to earn Qantas Points on your everyday spending. With the current introductory offer, you'll get enough Qantas Points for a one-way economy class flight from Sydney to London (55,200 points plus fees and taxes) or a return business class flight from Brisbane to Adelaide (55,200 points) – with points left over for next time. While it’s not the biggest Qantas Points bonus offer on the market right now, it’s also sweetened by $100 back on your account when you meet the spend requirement.

Pros

  • 75,000 bonus Qantas Points and $100 back to your account
  • Earn 0.75 Qantas Points per $1 on eligible spending, plus 1 additional point per $1 on select Qantas spending.
  • Platinum perks, including complimentary international travel insurance and a personal concierge

Cons

  • The standard annual fee of $295 p.a. is relatively high.

From 7 June 2024, ANZ is making changes to its complimentary insurances for credit cards. For full details, please refer to the new insurance policy document from ANZ.

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum earns 0.75 Qantas Points per $1 on eligible everyday purchases, which drops to 0.5 points per $1 after the first $3,000 spent in each statement period. If you do all of your spending on your card each month and this generally runs to $3,000 or less, then you'll get great value from this earn rate. If you usually spend more, then it might be worth exploring cards that have lower points caps, or higher earn rates.
