  • 0% p.a. for 14 months. Enjoy a 0% p.a. purchase interest rate for the first 14 months when you apply and get approved by 23 January 2019.
  • Amplify Rewards. You will earn 1 Amplify Point per $1 spent if you link your card to the Amplify Rewards program.
  • Amplify Qantas. With Amplify Qantas program, you will earn 0.5 Qantas Points for every $1 spent on your card.
  • Redeeming points. You can redeem Amplify Rewards through travel rewards, including domestic and international flights on major airlines, accommodation, holiday packages and more through Amplify Travel. Other options include redeeming airline points or miles through Virgin’s Velocity program, Singapore Airlines’ Krisflyer or Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich program. The Amplify Qantas program, on the other hand, lets you redeem points for flight upgrades, award seats, plus a range of other travel-related rewards. You can also redeem Qantas Points with one of their 35 partner airlines plus redeem award seats on Jetstar flights.

  • Interest rates. You’ll be charged a rate of 19.49% p.a. on purchases and 20.24% p.a. for cash advances (variable).
  • Annual fee. The card attracts an annual fee of $79.
  • Additional cardholder. You can add an additional cardholder to your account for $0.
  • Interest-free days. When you pay your closing balance in full by the statement due date you will receive up to 55 days interest-free on purchases.

How to apply for the Bank of Melbourne Amplify Card

To apply for the Bank of Melbourne Amplify Card, you must complete an online application. But first, check if you meet the following eligibility requirements.

Eligibility criteria

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must be a permanent resident of Australia.
  • You must have a good credit rating.

Required documents

Your online application should take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete, after which you’ll receive a response as to whether you’ve been approved. If you’re an existing Bank of Melbourne customer you can apply through internet banking. If you’re not an existing customer, you’ll need the following details to complete your application:

  • Your driver’s licence, passport, or Medicare card number
  • Your weekly after-tax income
  • Financial details including your assets, savings and investments
  • Details of your debts and liabilities including repayment amounts and balances owing

    Hello, we have a NAB AMEX/Visa card and we pay our balance off each month. I am 70yrs and hubby 75yrs. Can we apply for Bank of Melbourne Amplify Card and can we earned Qantas points on the card.

      You may go ahead and check on the eligibility criteria of Bank of Melbourne Amplify Card to make sure you meet the requirements.

      Requirements listed on the page above are:
      *Be at least 18 years of age
      *Be a permanent Australian resident
      *Have a good credit rating
      *Be looking for a credit limit that is between $500 and $80,000

      This card has the feature called “Amplify Qantas”. With this program, you will earn 0.5 Qantas Points for every $1 spent on your card.

    Hi, please clarify –

    if we apply today and its take 10 days to approve, after the 23rd, does this mean we miss out on the Balance transfer.

    Both comments relating to this are contradictory. See below. Under Promo info it simply state that we have to apply, not also approved to be eligible for the balance transfer @ 0% for 16 months,

    Apply before the 23 September 2015 – To be eligible for the balance transfer offer with the Bank of Melbourne Amplify Credit Card, you need to apply and get approved for the account before the 23 September 2015.

    Promotional purchase rate

    0% p.a. on purchases for 3 months – Apply by 23 September 2015 and you won’t pay any interest on purchases you make with the card for 3 months. The standard purchase rate will apply to any outstanding balance after the 90-day period.

      We can confirm that you may still be able to avail the promotional balance transfer rate, provided that you have requested an application to transfer balances from existing credit cards and if your application is submitted before 23 September 2015. The introductory purchase rate of 0% for 3 months is also available if you apply before 23 September 2015.

    In your terms and conditions, 3.2 says: Subject to the exclusions set out in clause 4.4, under Amplify Rewards, Amplify points are earned whenever goods or services are purchased using a Card or
    the Card Account. So – if i apply for this card and add an additional cardholder, do the purchases made by the additional card qualify to earn Amplify Rewards points on the primary cardholders account (if I choose that option) and is there a fee payable (annual or otherwise)in order for those additional card purchases to qualify.       Hi Kerry. Thanks for your question. You’re correct with what you say about the additional cardholder earning points for the primary card account. The way it works is once you have an additional cardholder added to an account, the supplementary card will earn points on the primary account when an eligible purchase is made with the card. There is no fee for adding an additional cardholder to this account (you can have one additional cardholder) and there is no fee for allowing this card to earn points to the primary account.
