Can I redeem my points for Qantas frequent flyer points.

    • Staff
      Anndy | October 6, 2016

      Hi Debra,

      Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, ANZ rewards points earned on a personal card can’t be redeemed or transferred to Qantas frequent flyer points. However, you can transfer your points to Air New Zealand Airpoints, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Virgin Australia Velocity frequent flyer programs.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

With the complimentary domestic flight, can I travel anywhere from Sydney Including Perth, Darwin and Broome or is it to set locations only.

      Hi Denise,

      Thanks for your question.

You can use your complimentary domestic flight reward with ANZ for travelling to various locations in Australia. If you are travelling from Sydney, you can fly to 21 destinations including Perth and Darwin. However, please note that all flights are subject to availability.

I’ve sent you an email with a link to ANZ page where you can check the available destinations from your location.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

“Spend $500 on eligible purchases in the first three months and get a complimentary return domestic flight with Virgin Australia each year you hold the card.”

How do I know what are ‘eligible purchases’?

    • Staff
      Debbie | September 21, 2016

      Hi Bel,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Eligible purchases considered are your everyday spending such as purchases on supermarkets, restaurants, food, petrol, clothes or flights.

As stated in the fine print on ANZ’s website, purchases which are not eligible to earn Reward Points includes fees, cash, balance transfers, premiums paid for insurance. Transactions such as gambling or for gaming purposes are also excluded on earning rewards points. Anything that is treated as cash advance are also ineligible like lottery, rent, ATO and paying some bills.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Debbie

Is an ANZ reward point equivalent to a Qantas or Velocity reward point? Also is there a cap on points earn per month (some of our cards cap off at 5000 per month which is insufficient).

    • Staff
      May | August 22, 2016

      Hi JB01,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

This ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures card lets you earn rewards points where you can transfer and redeem them for frequent flyer points in Velocity, Air New Zealand Airpoints, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles or Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer frequent flyer programs.

There is no cap for earning points per month, but reward points must be used to claim a reward within 36 months of 31 December of the year in which the reward point was added to a points record. Reward Points that remain unused after that period will be cancelled.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,

      Hi May
      Thanks for the quick response.
So there is a one for one conversion rate when redeeming ANZ reward points for Velocity or Krisflyer points?

    • Staff
      May | August 23, 2016

      Hi JB01,

      Thanks for getting back.

You can either transfer or redeem your ANZ reward points to any of those frequent flyer programs I mentioned earlier, so long that you have an account with that FF program. So let say you have Velocity and KrisFlyer accounts, you can transfer your ANZ reward points to these accounts at anytime. For redemption of the points, the conversion rates are:

6,000 Reward Points = 2,000 KrisFlyer Miles – Redeem an initial minimum of 6,000 Reward Points for KrisFlyer Miles, and additional multiples of 3,000 Reward Points. Allow up to 14 business days for Kris Flyer Miles to be allocated to your account.

2 Reward Points = 1 Velocity Point – the ANZ auto-redemption minimum transfer is 3,000 ANZ Reward Points for 1,500 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points. Allow up to 5 business days for Velocity Points to be allocated to your Account.

      Hope this is helpful.

      Cheers,
      May
