Is there travel insurance cover when I pay my travel expenses with my platinum one visa or american express card and if yes is there an excess?
Hi Tony. Thank for your question. According to the policy insurance booklet (I’ve sent it to your email), ‘Your cover under this NAB Platinum Overseas Travel Insurance is deemed to have been activated if:
• you are a current NAB platinum cardholder; and
• prior to the commencement of your journey, you have paid 100% of your return overseas transport costs (airfares and/or cruise costs) including charges, fees and/or taxes with your NAB platinum card account.’
Excesses vary depending the claim you’re making, so please refer to the policy booklet for further information about this. Jacob.
Can I go online to find out my balance?
Keith
Hello Keith,
thanks for the question.
NAB allows cardholders to check their balance through NAB Internet Banking. To log on simply visit the NAB website and enter your login details in the top right of the page. Through NAB Internet Banking you’ll also be able to view your credit cards credit limit, next payment due date and minimum payment due.
I hope this helps,
Marc.
Can the card be in my name but the balance being transferred be in my spouses name ?
What is the upper limit on this card?
Hi Linda,
Thanks for your question – great question.
So, NAB allows you to transfer a balance from a credit card in one person’s name to a card in another person’s name. We made a page on this topic. Please read our guide about joint primary cardholder credit cards for more details.
The credit limit is determined by the information you provide during the application. You can elect a credit limit when you apply, but the decision rests on the lender as to whether they actually give you that limit.
NAB allows you to transfer up to 70% of your approved credit limit. You can find more information on this topic through our balance transfer guide.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Jacob
i have your flybuys credit card i would like to know if i gave my flybuys number to you when applying for credit card
Hi Helen. Thanks for your question. We are not affiliated with NAB. Please contact them directly for an answer to your question. Jacob.
Is their an age limit on travel insurance?
Hi Terry. Thanks for your question. According to the NAB Credit Card Insurance Booklet: ‘NAB cardholders under 90 years of age are eligible for cover under the Overseas Travel Insurance Plan. Limits to cover and sum insureds apply to NAB cardholders who are aged between 76 years and under 90 years of age at the time of your loss.’ I’m going to send the terms and conditions to you via email if you would like to look into this a little further. Jacob.
