Latitude Financial Services offers credit cards with long interest-free finance options, travel benefits and other features you'd expect from a credit card.
Latitude Financial Services (previously GE Money) is a big, non-bank consumer finance company in Australia and New Zealand, with over 2.8 million customer accounts.
It's one of the few credit card companies in Australia that offers long, in-store finance plans with partnered retailers.
Latitude also offers credit cards with no annual fee, no foreign transaction fees and instalment plans.
Effective from 17 July 2024, Latitude is changing how they charge the monthly account fee for credit cards that offer Interest Free payment plans. Previously, a fee was not charged if your account fell below $10. From July 17, every account (even those with a balance below $10, a zero balance or those in credit/with a positive balance) is charged an account service fee of $10.95 per month. If you don't pay your minimum repayment (including this fee), a late fee will be charged. This is important to note, because if you're not actively using your card and making regular minimum repayments, your account may go into arrears and in default.

Credit card brands similar to Latitude
If you want interest-free offers or other in-store benefits, here are 3 other brands you could compare with Latitude:
On 16 March 2023, Latitude confirmed up to 14 million Latitude customers in Australia and New Zealand were impacted by a cyber attack. This affected both current and past customers with accounts dating back to 2005, including some branded credit cards previously underwritten by GE Money.
Once the attack was discovered, Latitude took immediate action to protect personal information. It has provided updates on the Latitude website and will directly contact anyone affected by email or letter.
The Latitude GO Mastercard, Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard and Latitude Gem Visa can be used to make in-store and online payments in over 200 countries around the world, wherever you see the Mastercard and Visa logos.
Before you can view your Latitude Financial Services credit card transactions and manage your account online, you need to register for the Online Service Centre. The process takes a couple of minutes to complete and you will need your account details from a recent statement.
Once you’ve registered for the Online Service Centre, you’ll be able to view e-statements, set reminders to pay your credit card and view credit transactions.
Latitude credit cards do not offer balance transfers from other credit cards or accounts. But you can transfer a balance from your Latitude card to a new credit card with a low or 0% balance transfer offer. It just needs to be with a different bank or lender. You also need to provide your Latitude account details as part of the application. In most cases, this will be the BPAY details shown on your statement.
GE Capital's Australian and New Zealand consumer business (including the GE Money brand) became known as Latitude Financial Services in 2015, following an acquisition by Värde Partners, Deutsche Bank and KKR. Many of the products previously branded as GE Money in Australia moved over to Latitude Financial Services branding, including the GO Mastercard, Gem Visa and 28° Mastercard.

Finder is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
