    Hi Sealz,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Generally, when you applied for a credit card and are approved, the account is already open, regardless if you activate your card or not. The annual fee will be charged to you on the first billing period.

    Cheers,
    Anndy

Can you offer any frequent flyer points with this offer?

      Hi Phil,

      Thank you for your question.

Just to confirm, you have come through to finder.com.au, not Citibank.

However, we can confirm that you can only earn frequent flyer points through the Citibank Rewards Credit Card, not the Citibank Clear Platinum card. Citibank Rewards cards offer you the choice of earning Qantas Frequent Flyer points on your signature or Citi Prestige credit card by joining Citibank Qantas Rewards.

You can compare the Citibank Platinum Rewards Credit Card here.

I hope this has answered your question.

      Thanks,

      Sally

      Hi Terrie,

      Thanks for your question.

Generally they will be processed as purchases, unless you’ve paid for them over the counter at banks, another financial institution, or a post office.

It’s also considered as a cash advance if you’ve used internet banking to transfer available credit from your credit card account to another account.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

I’m trying to consolidate my current debt, I have applied on line for your interest free period low rate card but haven’t received a conditional approval and your bank want me to supply multiple docs without a conditional approval. I don’t want to waste my time sending in multiple docs without a conditional approval

      Hi EC,

      Thanks for your question.

This decision is ultimately up to you; if you feel as though its a waste of time then you’re not forced to submit documentation. However, there is always the chance that your application my be approved if you meet their criteria.

May be a good idea to speak to Citibank first to enquire about your eligibility.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

      Hi Anya,

      Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately the balance must come from an Australian credit card or store card.
