You can now exchange your Citi Rewards Points for flybuys points
Plus you'll score 15% bonus flybuys points when you transfer your Citi Rewards Points by 31 March.
Citi Rewards cardholders have another way to use their hard-earned points from today. Thanks to a new partnership with the flybuys program, you can now exchange your Citi Rewards Points for flybuys.
If you have a Platinum card, you can transfer your Citi Rewards Points at a rate of 1.33 for 1 flybuys point. Gold and Classic cards offer a 2 Citi Rewards Points for 1 flybuys point exchange rate. As you usually can with your flybuys points, you can then redeem these for money off your shop at Coles and other partnered brands.
This partnership also means you can double dip to earn more flybuys points when you pay for groceries with your Citi Rewards credit card. You can pick up points directly when you swipe your flybuys card, plus when you exchange your Citi Rewards Points for flybuys. Plus, you can score 15% bonus flybuys points when you transfer your Citi Rewards Points across for a limited time.
Finder is currently offering an exclusive bonus points promotion with the Citi Rewards Platinum Credit Card, which you could take advantage of to get even more flybuys points while this 15% bonus is running. When you apply for the card through Finder by 30 June 2019 and spend $3,000 on eligible purchases in the first 90 days, you'll score 100,000 bonus Citi Rewards Points. While you'd usually get 75,187 flybuys points from this many Citi Rewards Points, you could get an additional 11,278 flybuys points for a total 86,465 flybuys points if you transfer them by 31 March 2019.
If you plan to take advantage of both of these offers, just remember that your bonus Citi Rewards Points will be credited to your account within 6 to 8 weeks of meeting the spend requirement and there are just over 4 weeks to enjoy the 15% flybuys bonus points promotion.
This card earns 1 Citi Rewards Point per $1 in Australia and overseas (capped at $10,000 per statement period on domestic spend). It also charges a $49 first-year annual fee (which reverts to $149 p.a. after that).
This is just one of the many ways you can spend your Citi Rewards Points. You can redeem them for travel, gift cards, cashback on your account or exchange them for frequent flyer points with Velocity, Emirates Skywards and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. See Finder's guide to the Citi Rewards program for more tips on earning and spending your points.
