Hi, I’m booking a return flight from Melbourne to Brisbane using my AMEX Black Altitude Card. Is my excess fee on my rental car (it’s up to $5600) covered with the complimentary insurance?

I think it used to be that if you paid for car hire with Amex, insurances were automatically covered. Is that still true?
    Cheers, John
