NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Credit Card review

This card provides a range of premium benefits and rewards for cardholders. For starters, it offers complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, potentially saving you $89.50 if you aren't already a member of the frequent flyer program. It also earns Qantas Points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases, comes with both a Visa and American Express card and has complimentary insurance cover for both travellers and shoppers.

If you have existing credit card debt, the 4.99% p.a. balance transfer offer on this card can help you consolidate it and save money on interest charges for 6 months. However, the $250 p.a. annual fee is higher than some cards and there is a monthly points cap for rewards, which could limit the potential value you get from the card. Compare the features and fees to determine whether the NAB Qantas Rewards Premium is right for you.

Frequently asked questions

I will be going with my family on a trip to Europe. Do all the members have insurance cover?

When traveling abroad, your spouse and dependent children are covered under the insurance cover so long as they meet the other eligibility requirements. The insurance will be activated once a minimum of $500 prepaid travel costs are made on the card. The extent of insurance and exclusions can be found on the company’s insurance document.

Will my pre-existing medical condition be covered during my overseas trip?

There are several exclusions within the insurance cover which limit the extent to which insurance is provided. Existing medical conditions that may not be covered include any mental disorder, anxiety, alcoholism, drug addiction, pregnancy and/or any chronic or ongoing medical or dental conditions.

You can check if your particular condition is covered by referring to the NAB card insurance policy documents, or by calling the insurance underwriter, QBE on 1300 650 503.
