Woolworths WISH gift cards are loaded with funds you can use to pay for all or part of your spending with a participating Woolworths Group store or partner.

You can buy WISH gift cards in-store and online. Or, if you're part of a loyalty program like Qantas Frequent Flyer, ANZ Rewards and NAB Rewards, you could redeem points for gift cards.

Yes, you can use a WISH gift card or eGift card when you're shopping online at participating Woolworths Group stores by choosing "Gift card" as the payment option.

You'll then need to enter the 19-digit card number and 4-digit PIN assigned to your WISH gift card, which you'll find on the physical card or in your emails (if it's a digital card).

How to use reward points to get a WISH gift card

The points you get through frequent flyer programs or rewards credit cards can often be redeemed for WISH gift cards – including through Qantas Frequent Flyer, ANZ Rewards, Bankwest More Rewards and NAB Rewards.

Just log into your account and search the rewards to see what WISH gift cards are available. If you find one you want, follow the steps to redeem it with your points.

This can be a handy way to use reward points for yourself or as a gift for someone else – and also makes it easy to work out the actual value of your points. But keep in mind that there may be more valuable ways to redeem points.

How many points do I need to get a WISH gift card?

The number of points is different for each rewards program. It can also vary based on the type of gift card (and the value that's loaded onto the card).

What to consider before getting a Woolworths WISH gift card

• Digital delivery time. If you buy a digital WISH gift card through Woolworths, you (or the person you're giving it to) will get it by email. The eGift card could be sent within 10 minutes of completing your order, but may take up to 48 hours.
• Physical card delivery times. If you buy a physical WISH gift card through Woolworths online, it could take up to 10 business days to arrive by registered post ($5.50 fee) or up to 6 business days to arrive by secure courier ($14.99).
• Rewards program processing times. If you redeem rewards points for a physical or digital WISH gift card, check the rewards program website to see how long it will take to arrive.
• Fixed value. Once you order a WISH gift card, you can't add money to it.
• Eligible purchases. WISH gift cards let you buy most everyday items, but you won't be able to use them to buy other gift cards or vouchers, lotto products, donations or charity products.

• Marley Spoon and Dinnerly gift cards. If you want to try out a meal kit service, these gift cards give you a way to taste test options from Marley Spoon or Dinnerly.
• Variety gift cards (in-store only). When you're shopping at Woolworths, Big W or other stores, you'll usually see a wider variety of gift cards for popular brands like JB Hi-Fi, Bonds, THE ICONIC and more.

• How do I use a WISH gift card?

  These cards work quite like prepaid debit cards, given that you have to swipe them at EFTPOS terminals to make payments. Any leftover balance remains on the card, which you can use later. If the balance on the card is not enough to pay for a particular purchase, you can pay the difference using cash or a credit or debit card.

• Is there a limit to the number of WISH gift cards I can use at once?

  Most participating stores give you the ability to use multiple cards to pay for a single purchase. Bear in mind that certain outlets don't allow the use of more than 1 gift card per purchase.

• How do I find out about my card's existing balance and expiry date?

  Woolworths gift cards do not expire. You can check the balance by visiting the Woolworths Gift Cards website and logging in to your account.
