Hi Birendra,
Yes, as long as you haven’t had an Amplify Platinum or Signature credit card issued by Bank of Melbourne, St.George or BankSA in the past 12 months, you would be considered a “new cardholder” and would qualify for this offer. Just remember to check the other offer requirements as well. I hope this helps.

My wife & I are both retired and have combined super in 7 figures. No card company wants to know this as we don’t have a pay slip. Our credit rating is perfect. It almost seems impossible to get a new card with these Qantas specials. Any suggestions?

Hi Allan,
Thanks for getting in touch!
It’s great to know that your credit rating is perfect. While this may give high hopes of approval, the probability of being approved or not depends on how you match the eligibility requirements of the card so make sure to always check carefully.
If you are still looking to get a credit card, you may refer to our list of credit cards for pensioners and retirees. On the page, you’ll find:
- a long list of providers along with retiree and pensioner application details
- Mistakes to avoid when applying for a credit card
You can click the name of the bank if you wish to read our product review. When you’re ready to apply for the card, press the ‘Go to site’ button to be redirected to the bank’s main website.
As a friendly reminder, read the eligibility criteria, features, as well as the Product Disclosure Statement and Terms and Conditions of the card before making a decision and consider whether the product is right for you.
Hope this helps! For any further questions, feel free to reach out to us again, we’re here to help.
Best,

Hi, is there a minimum salary earning for this please?

Hi Vanessa,
Thank you for visiting Finder and for leaving a question.
I’m afraid St.George Amplify Signature – Qantas Credit Card did not specify if there’s a minimum income requirement to be eligible for this card. Although, you still need to show your proof of income and employment as well as your financial commitments for their checking.
I suggest that you contact St. George first to check prior to application to make sure that your income is eligible for the credit card product you wish to have.
Hope this helps and please feel free to contact us back should you require further assistance.
Kind Regards,
Mai

Overseas travel insurance. The cardholder and their family have access of up to 6 months of coverage.
Could you please explain what is meant by access of up to 6 months for overseas travel insurance?

Hello John,
Thank you for your comment.
It means that the coverage of your complimentary travel insurance will be provided for six months or until you return to your home in Australia, whichever occurs first.
Regards,
Jhezelyn
