How to apply

You can apply for the Illawarra Credit Union Low Rate credit card online by completing a secure application form. To get started, check you eligibility and make sure you have all the necessary documents and details ready for the application.

Eligibility criteria

  • Income. You must have a regular income and have been in your current job for more than 6 months.
  • Residency. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Card benefits

  • Balance transfer offer. Consolidate your existing debt with this card and enjoy a 0% p.a. interest rate on balance transfers for the first 12 months. After the introductory period, the rate reverts to the standard balance transfer rate (currently 8.99% p.a.).
  • Support for charitable cause. The Illawarra Credit Union Low Rate Credit Card is also available in Pink and Blue versions, both offering the same interest rates and features. For each year you hold the Pink card, 50% of the annual fee is donated to the McGrath Foundation. If you opt for the Blue card, half of the annual fee will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
