Our verdict

Earn points as you manage your business spending with this Diners Club charge card.

The Diners Club Business Card gives you a mix of rewards, perks and tools to manage business spending. This includes statements that meet the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements for use instead of tax invoices – a handy feature if you find it hard to keep all your receipts and invoices organised.

With this card, you earn 1 point per $1 on purchases and cash advances but not for government charges (including payments to the ATO). It’s one of the few cards that offers point transfers to Qantas Frequent Flyer, along with a mix of cashback, gift card and shopping rewards offered through the Diners Club Rewards website.

Eligibility criteria

  • Minimum income. Each applicant must earn at least $35,000
  • Credit score. Each individual applying must have a good credit history and credit score.

Card benefits

  • Diners Club Rewards. This card earns 1 point per $1 spent on eligible transactions, including purchases and cash advances. Transactions that don't earn points include account fees and charges, liquidated damages and government charges. The points you earn can be redeemed through the Diners Club Rewards program for gift cards, cashback, frequent flyer point transfers and a range of other rewards.
  • No pre-set spending limit. As a charge card, you won't be issued with a set credit limit like you would be with a credit card. Instead, your spending power will be determined based on your estimated expenses and ongoing spending habits. Just keep in mind that you will need to pay back whatever you spend within the 51-day statement period.

Rates & fees

  • Annual fee. This card has an annual fee of $95.
  • Rewards fee. An annual rewards fee of $77 applies for this account. In addition to the card's annual fee, this brings the yearly cost of the account to $172.
