AAMI Roadside Assistance Review

An affordable add-on policy, AAMI’s roadside assistance has decent perks but is only available to AAMI customers.

Our verdict

Pros

  • We compared the price of eight add-on roadside assistance policies. At $86 a year, AAMI was cheaper than five other brands.
  • AAMI offers an SMS tracker, so you can see your mechanic live location as they're on their way. (Geographical limitations do apply though).
  • AAMI offers unlimited call-outs, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Cons

  • AAMI's roadside assistance is only available to people who have comprehensive car insurance with AAMI.
  • If AAMI doesn't have any service providers within 100km of your car, you won't be able to use roadside assistance.
  • There's no cover if you've accidentally filled up with incorrect or contaminated fuel.

AAMI offers roadside assistance which can easily compete with other options in the market, across both price and features.
