Pros

Cons

  • AAMI's roadside assistance is only available to people who have comprehensive car insurance with AAMI.
  • If AAMI doesn't have any service providers within 100km of your car, you won't be able to use roadside assistance.

What does AAMI roadside assistance cover?

AAMI Roadside Assist is available as an optional cover with AAMI Comprehensive Car Insurance. It provides 24/7 assistance across Australia.

Key features include:

  • Flat battery assistance: Jump-starting your vehicle or arranging a replacement battery (cost of the battery not covered).
  • Flat tyre assistance: Replacing a flat tyre with your car's spare or towing your vehicle to the nearest approved tyre outlet.
  • Lost or locked-in keys: You'll be covered for up to $250 worth of services to deliver your spare key or arrange access to your vehicle.
  • Emergency towing: Towing your car to an accredited repairer, up to 100 km from the breakdown location.
  • Emergency fuel delivery: Providing up to $10 worth of fuel to reach the nearest petrol station.
  • Unlimited callouts: You can call for roadside assistance as many times as you need.

For new customers, it's worth noting that AAMI Roadside Assist becomes available 24 hours after adding it to your policy.
