The BOQ Blue Visa credit card is one of the few cards that offer both reward points and a cashback offer. It also charges a competitive annual fee compared to other rewards cards, although it comes with fewer extra features than you would expect from more premium cards.

How to apply

You can apply for the BOQ Blue Visa credit card online, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria and have the necessary information to complete the application.

Eligibility criteria

  • Income. You must earn at least $25,000 to apply for this card.
  • Eligible balance transfer debt. If you're planning to transfer a balance to the BOQ Low Rate, you can transfer up to 80% of your approved credit limit from non-Citigroup credit cards, store cards or loans.

Card benefits

  • Cashback offer. When you spend $500 per month on retail purchases for each of the first 3 months, you'll be rewarded with $120 cashback to your account. It will be credited to your account within 10 weeks after the end of the 3-month period.
  • Balance transfer offer. If you apply before 27 February 2020, you can save with 0% p.a. interest for 6 months on balance transfers. The balance transfer rate will revert to the variable cash advance rate of 21.74% p.a. at the end of the promotional period.

Rates & fees

  • Annual fee. This card charges a $60 p.a. annual fee.
  • Purchase interest rate. Your purchases will attract interest at the 20.74% p.a. interest rate if you do not pay your statement balance in full.

      Hi John,

Thank you for getting in touch with finder.

If you consider redeeming Q Rewards points for a Myer gift card, required points starts at 9,000 points. Kindly visit BOQ’s Rewards official page to get a more accurate info on this.

      I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

      Cheers,
      Jeni

I am trying to contact you regarding a Direct Debit a letter I just received said was dishonoured (not paid). What does this mean.
I live most of the time in the United States in California and I do not have a phone number I can call you on as the “300” numbers do not work from here.

      Hi Lorraine,

Unfortunately you’ve come through to finder.com.au an online comparison service. We’re not directly affiliated with BoQ and don’t handle any accounts.

Please contact their customer service team directly, they also have overseas numbers available through their official website.

      Cheers,
      Shirley
