Hi,
Will I receive Qantas FF points when paying utilities such as electricity, water, gas, council rates and Foxtel with my Qantas platinum credit card?
Cheers,
John

Hi John,
Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.
You may earn QFF points on paying utilities with your Bankwest Qantas Platinum Mastercard so long that you’re not processing the payment via BPay. BPAY payments like bill payments and other payments made through the BPAY are exmpeted to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Jeni

When buying a return overs airline tick, can the costs of the required minimum of $500 using the bankwest qantas platinum card be shared using another non bank west card?
March 22, 2018
Hi James!
Thanks for your message.
Since the minimum cost is under the terms and conditions of Bankwest Qantas Platinum card, the cost cannot be shared by a non-Bankwest card.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Nikki

Hi
With regards to the Qantas platinum rewards card do you receive bonus points as a new customer??
March 14, 2018
Hi Declan,
Thanks for getting in touch with finder.
No you don’t receive bonus points as a new customer but you receive points on every dollar ($) spent using your Qantas Platinum card. If you have a Bankwest Qantas Platinum Mastercard, you can earn up to 200,000 reward points which is the maximum number of points that can be accumulated per year.
In addition, if you are interested to take advantage of Qantas Frequent Flyer Credit Card Offer where you can get 100,000 bonus Qantas points when you spend $4,000 on everyday purchases within the first 60 days of account opening. This offer ends on 17 June 2018.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, as for Bankwest Qantas Platinum MasterCard, since it has the Mastercard logo, it uses the daily conversion rate per Mastercard Conversion Calculator.

Hi
I have a new Bankwest Qantas Platinum MasterCard. I am interested in the travel insurance in particular for the excess cover when hiring a vehicle. Can you please confirm that this insurance policy covers me not just when I am overseas but whilst I am travelling within Australia.

Hi Tarmi,
Thank you for your question.
Under the “Rental Vehicle Insurance excess” section of the PDS, it says: Allianz Global Assistance will reimburse you for any insurance excess or deductible which you become legally liable to pay in respect of a claim under the rental vehicle insurance during the rental period provided:
1. the rental vehicle must be rented overseas from a licensed rental agency; and
2. as part of the rental agreement you have taken rental vehicle insurance; and
3. you have complied with all requirements of the rental organisation under the hiring agreement and of the rental vehicle insurer.
Given that condition, the rental vehicle insurance excess does not cover your trip within Australia.
Cheers,
May
