The ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card is the bank’s mid-tier rewards credit card. This means you can look forward to higher bonus points and earn rates than you would with the ANZ Rewards credit card.

How to apply

You can apply for the ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card online in around 5 minutes and receive a response in 60 seconds. Before you start your application, make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements and have the necessary information.

Eligibility criteria

  • Residency requirement. Citizens and permanent residents of Australia are eligible to apply. If you are a non-Australian permanent resident, you must have an eligible working or business visa with at least 9 months remaining.
  • New customer. The bonus points offer is only available to new ANZ Rewards credit card holders.

Card benefits

  • 50,000 bonus Reward Points. Receive 50,000 bonus points when you apply for an ANZ Rewards Platinum Card, are approved and spend $2,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months from card approval. Your bonus points will be credited to your account within 3 months of meeting the spend requirement.
  • $50 back. Meet the same spend requirement to get the bonus points and you will also get $50 back onto your card.

Rates & fees

  • Annual fee. This card charges an annual fee of $95 p.a. (which includes a $40 annual fee and a $55 rewards fee).
  • Purchase rate. Purchases will collect interest at 20.24% p.a. (variable).

I have paid for a holiday at Christmas with my Visa credit card. I understand that my husband is not eligible for the free travel insurance as he is outside the age limit. Am I eligible for the travel insurance and how do I go about arranging a copy of the policy?

    Thank you for your help.

      Hi Sue,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

Regarding your query on eligibility requirements for the ANZ complimentary travel insurance, please check out this page for further info like you have to be 80 years of age or under on the day you activated the insurance policy and paying at least AUD$250 (inclusive of taxes and other charges) with your ANZ credit card and more.

Since ANZ credit card complimentary travel insurance is underwritten by Allianz Australia Insurance, please contact them directly for the copy of your policy.

      I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

      Cheers,
      Jeni

      Thanks for your question.

The complimentary travel insurance that comes with your card will also cover your spouse and any dependent children that are travelling with you throughout the journey. They will also have to meet the eligibility criteria, including payments to your card for part of their travel bookings.

You may refer to this page to check the eligibility criteria for the complimentary travel insurance.

      Hi Tess1988,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Since your existing card is an ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures card, you may be able to receive the bonus points of 40,000 offer for the ANZ Rewards Platinum Credit Card so long you applied and get approved for the card as well as you meet the spending condition of $500 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months from card approval. Please also note that a balance transfer, as previously stated in the condition, between an existing ANZ card to this account is not allowed.

      Cheers,
      May

      Hi Mustafa,

Thanks for getting in touch with finder. I hope all is well with you. You will not be eligible for the bonus points offer when you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Black credit card within the previous twelve months. You may click the green “Go to ANZ’s website” button on the page you’re viewing for you to be redirected to their website. Once you’re on their landing page, please scroll down until you would see “Important Information.”

      I hope this helps.

      Warm regards,
      Judith

      Hi Tom,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

If you wish to transfer to an Australian banks like ANZ, convert 6,000 reward points for 3,000 KrisFlyer points, starting with a minimum of 6,000 points, and then move forward in multiples of 3,000. For further details you can check on this page the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Frequent Flyer Program Guide.

I hope this information has helped.

      Cheers,

If we transfer points to a frequent flyer account, are they counted as used within the 36 months or do they still expire?

      Hi Jacki,

      Thank you for your enquiry.

The ANZ Rewards Program points are considered redeemed or used once you transfer them to a frequent flyer program or account. The redeemed frequent flyer points or miles will then follow the validity period set by the frequent flyer program.

Please check out this link for more details about the point requirements and the transfer process of different frequent flyer programs.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Jason

The offer is also not available if you currently hold an ANZ Rewards, ANZ Rewards Platinum or ANZ Rewards Black credit card within the previous twelve months.
