If we transfer points to a frequent flyer account, are they counted as used within the 36 months or do they still expire?

    • Staff
      JasonDecember 12, 2016Staff

      Hi Jacki,

      Thank you for your enquiry.

The ANZ Rewards Program points are considered redeemed or used once you transfer them to a frequent flyer program or account. The redeemed frequent flyer points or miles will then follow the validity period set by the frequent flyer program.

Please check out this link for more details about the point requirements and the transfer process of different frequent flyer programs.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Jason

I am interested in this card. I noted you can transfer points to other frequent flyer partners. I’m a Qantas frequent flyer but did not see this on your oust of airlines points can be transferred to.

Can you tell me if these points can be transferred to the QF frequent flyer program?

What is the amount I need to spend to obtain the 50,000 bonus points

    • Staff
      MaySeptember 7, 2016Staff

      Hi DB,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, the rewards points you earned for using your ANZ Rewards Platinum Credit Card cannot be transferred to Qantas Frequent Flyer program. You can only transfer your points to the following FF programs: Velocity, Air New Zealand Airpoints, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles or Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer.

As for the bonus points, you will receive the 50,000 bonus points after your first eligible purchase is made within 3 months of card approval (excluding fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers and premiums for ANZ credit card insurance). ANZ did not specify a certain amount for your first eligible purchase.

      Cheers,

      Hi Lynda,

      Thanks for your question.

Just to confirm, do you mean direct debits? If so, most credit cards can be set up as your payment method through direct debit especially for bills or with merchants that you have arranged with regular payments.

      Hi Hannah,
