The ANZ Rewards Black credit card has a relatively competitive earn rate and you have the potential to maximise your points with additional cards. But unlike some business rewards products, it doesn’t reward new cardholders with introductory bonus points.

How to apply

You can apply for the ANZ Business Black credit card online in 10 minutes. Before you apply, check if you meet the eligibility criteria and have the necessary information handy:

Eligibility criteria

  • ABN and ACN. You must have a valid Australian Business Name (ABN) and Australian Company Number (ACN) to apply. You'll also need to confirm the training address, mailing address and the type of business entity. The applicant must be authorised to open an account on behalf of the business.
  • Business use. You must agree to use the card predominantly for business purposes.

Card benefits

  • Earn ANZ Rewards. You and your additional cardholders can earn 1.5 ANZ Reward Points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases domestically up to $10,000 spend per statement period and 1 Reward Point for every $1 spent thereafter (excluding taxation payments). You will earn 0.5 ANZ Reward Points for every $1 spent on taxation payments.
  • Additional cardholders. You can give your staff more financial freedom by linking additional cardholders to the account at no additional annual fee. However, you'll pay a $75 rewards fee per card per year. You can set monthly spend caps, transaction limits and merchant category controls to suit each cardholder's spending needs. You'll receive one monthly statement that summarises the fees, charges and payments made under the one account.

Rates & fees

  • Annual fee. The card charges an annual fee of $300.
  • Purchase interest rate. Your purchases will collect interest at 20.24% p.a.

      Hi Anthony,

Thank you for reaching out to finder.

I checked on the rates and fees for ANZ Business Black card and it does not indicate a Loyalty fee. The closest I could see is the Rewards fee which is at $75 per year per card. You may also want to check with ANZ directly on the breakdown of the loyalty fee which is being charged to you for further clarification. Hope this helps!

      Cheers,
      Reggie

Why Business Black credit card does not start with Points Bonus like the personal Black Card that will let you earn 65,000 points?

      Hello Cono,

      Thank you for your comment.

Credit cards have different issuers and different rewards system. This is the reason why you get to compare which credit card product will suit you well. So basically, the bonus points as introductory offer of credit card products will depend on its rewards system.

      Thank you for visiting finder.

You will be able to earn points on eligible purchases if you are going to us your ANZ Business Black Card in paying for the bulk diesel delivery. Earning points does not apply to cash transactions.

You may earn 1.5 ANZ points for every dollar spent on eligible purchase up to $10,000 every statement. For succeeding purchases, that is $10,001 and up, you will be earning 1 ANZ point for every dollar spent.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Ash

According to ANZ this card cannot be set up as a bank feed to Xero. I had a replacement card sent to me and it no longer allows bank feeds from ANZ to Xero…
    Can you please confirm this?

re the ANZ business black credit card is there a limit to the number of points you can earn per statement period and per year? The info on your site was not consistent with what I was told by ANZ on the phone.

      Hi Des,

      Thanks for your question.

I’ve checked the terms and conditions of ANZ Business Black Card’s rewards program and I can’t find any reference to points cap. However, it was mentioned that if you are the primary cardholder, you can set a monthly spend cap for each additional cardholder to match your budget.

      Hi Andrew,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

As listed in the fine prints on ANZ website:

      1. Eligible purchases exclude interest, government charges, fees, balance transfers and cash and cash equivalent transactions.

      2. Eligible overseas purchases include eligible purchases in a currency other than Australian dollars or where the merchant or financial institution is located outside of Australia, but do not include taxation payments made overseas. Taxation payments include all payments to the Australian Taxation Office and other taxation bodies.

I thought that I read yesterday that the initial annual fee was waived on the Business Black credit card. Is this the case for new applications?

      Hi Darron,

      Thanks for your comment.

Unfortunately, the annual fee is not waived on the ANZ Business Black Card. So if you have this card, you’ll have to pay the annual fee of $450.

      Cheers,

Good afternoon, I saw this below in ANZ terms & conditions which I assume means you can no longer earn points for tax payments? (23) Exceptions.

    (a) Points will not accrue in relation to interest charges, premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card Insurance, government charges, bank fees, payments made to the Australian Taxation Office, card account adjustments resulting from disputed transactions or otherwise, balance transfers, cash advance (as defined in the ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use).

      Hi Mick,

      Thanks for your comment.

It could be that the T&Cs you’ve found is applicable for the other ANZ credit cards. As for the ANZ Business Black Card, you are still eligible to earn 0.5 Reward Point per $1 spent on taxation payments (including overseas taxation payments). Please refer to the ANZ Business One Rewards T&Cs I’ve forwarded to your email for reference.

      Cheers,
      May
