Hi Garnett, there is no stipulated minimum income requirement for this card. To give you an idea, the American Express Explorer, with a similar annual fee, has a minimum income requirement of $65,000.
In addition to the eligibility criteria below, ANZ will evaluate your income against your expenses.
– Be 18 years of age or over, and;
– Be a permanent Australian resident or a non-permanent resident with more than 9 months remaining on your Visa.
– Have a good credit rating.
– Ensure if applying for an offer, you don’t currently hold and haven’t opened or closed an ANZ Rewards Black, ANZ Rewards Platinum or an ANZ Rewards credit card in the last 12 months and meet all other offer eligibility criteria.

Is there minimum spend per person to be eligible for oversea travel insurance? We have an ANZ rewards black card and bought cruise tickets for the family. What is the alliance emergency contact in Fiji and New Calidonea? Thanks

Hello Lin,
Thank you for your comment.
One of the eligibility criteria to the complimentary travel insurance of the ANZ Rewards Black Credit Card is to at least used AUD$250* in total for transport costs (airfares and/or cruise) and/or land content (tours, hire cars or other hired transport and accommodation) before you went on your trip. You may contact Allianz Global Assistance in case of emergency claim when you’re in Fiji and New Calidonea. The phone number is found on their website.

Is BPay an eligible purchase on the ANZ black credit card?
October 7, 2017
Hello CT,
Yes, for ANZ, payments using BPAY would count as an eligible purchase as long as the item or service you are paying for is considered an “eligible purchase”
Purchases which are not eligible to earn Rewards Points are described in the ANZ Rewards – Rewards Program Terms and Conditions booklet, for example fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers, premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card Insurance and transactions for gambling or gaming purposes will not earn Reward Points.
Please note that some card providers don’t allow you to earn rewards points on BPAY payments, and some will process the payment as a cash advance. It would still always be a good idea to get in touch with the card providers directly to ask for clarification and assurance on this. Also, asking the merchant or service provider that you would be paying if they will process the payment as a purchase would not hurt at all.
Hope this helped.
Cheers,
Gru

Hi,
I have been approved for the ANZ black rewards credit card on 01/08/2017. I have had this card last year and cancelled it on 17/08/2016. If I activate the new card after 17/08/2017 will I still qualify for the 75,000 bonus rewards points?
Is the condition for not having the existing card in the last twelve months from the approval date of the new card or activation date of the new card?
Thanks.

Hi John,
Thanks for your inquiry. Please note that we are not affiliated with ANZ or any company we feature on our site and so we can only offer you general advice.
The offer is not available if you have currently closed an ANZ Rewards, ANZ Rewards Platinum or ANZ Rewards Black credit card within the previous twelve months.
This offer applies only once per eligible customer. Your application must be approved and you must activate the card and make $2,500 worth of eligible purchases within three months of approval to receive the bonus Reward Points. Eligible Purchase means purchases which are eligible to earn Reward Points.
You can be eligible for this offer after 12 months that you have canceled your ANZ Black Rewards credit card. You may confirm this info by contacting ANZ directly.
Cheers,
Rench

Hi Warren,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The complimentary access to participating airport lounges is available to eligible ANZ Rewards Black and ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cardholders including their additional cardholders only. If your partner is your additional cardholder, then she will also be eligible for the lounge access, otherwise, no.
To gain complimentary access to a Participating Lounge you must present:
a. your Eligible Card; and
b. a current and valid flight boarding pass in the same name as the Eligible Card, at the entrance to the Participating Lounge.
The participating airport lounges can be found on velocelounges.com and are subject to change.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
