      Hi Dingo,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Basically no. Most credit card companies would allow you to cancel your account at anytime so long that you do not have an outstanding balance on the account.

      Hi Jlo.

      Thank you for your inquiry.

According to the Virgin Australia credit card terms and conditions, eligible purchases refer to any retail purchase which is made by the use of a card or any other means permitted by Virgin, excluding (but not limited to) transactions by way of cash advances, balance transfers, special promotions, fees, purchases of foreign currency and travelers cheques, foreign exchange and ATM/bank charges, interest charges, finance charges, government charges, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, insurance charges, loan account payments (mortgage etc), purchases in excess of limits on the account, business operations transactions and if the account is more than $10,000 in credit only, all other transactions.

The transfer rate is 1.35 Velocity Points for 1 Krisflyer Mile and a minimum transfer of 5,000 Velocity Points is required. Please click this link for instructions on how to transfer your earned Velocity Points to Krisflyer Miles.

      I hope this helps.

    What purchases earn reward points?

      SallyJanuary 4, 2016Staff

      Hi Don,

      Thanks for your question.

Velocity High Flyer Card cardholders can earn points on ‘eligible purchases’. According to the Virgin Australia credit card terms and conditions, eligible purchases refer to any retail purchase which is made by the use of a card or any other means permitted by Virgin, excluding (but not limited to) transactions by way of cash advances, balance transfers, special promotions, fees, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, foreign exchange and ATM/bank charges, interest charges, finance charges, government charges, payments to the Australian Taxation
Office, insurance charges, payments to loan accounts (mortgage etc), purchases in excess of limits on the account, transactions made in operating a business and if the account is more than $10,000 in credit only, all other transactions.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sally
